I stayed for a couple of nights over last week-end and the room was good for the price paid.
Reception were helpful and generally it was good value for money.

The location is great, very close to everything (Theater District, Hells Kitchen, Subways, Port). We had a stunning view of the Empire State building on the 42 floor and it made up for everything that went wrong. Day 1, first impression - there was a...More

Best hotel in Mid-town - great staff, great, friendly service, comfortable rooms, clean as a pin. I've stayed in all the Times-Square hotels, and the Hilton Times Square is a winner, hands down. Its my home away from home when I'm in NYC.
If you want to be in the heart of Times Square this is your hotel! Rooms extra large for New York, service good and very helpful. Everything you need on your doorstep from shopping to food to theatres!More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Cabs may work but the line can be a terribly long wait and around $100 anyway with tunnel fee. If cost isn't a major factor I suggest limo and would recommend the one arranged for us by Hilton when we went from the Hotel to EWR: Empire Limo. 646-233-7450. Expensive but I think worth it (their quote and charge was $113 including tip and the $15 Holland Tunnel charge). I gave Freddy (you can ask for him) a little extra.

We flew in to JFK. They had a line of taxis right outside waiting and we just told them our hotels address and off we went. I'm guessing LGA will have something similar. For our departure, our hotel called a car service for us. In my opinion, this is the way to go. For a little extra, we had an enjoyable ride back. Look into being picked up. Have a great trip!!!
