After a thorough decision-making process (tripadvisor, expedia, friends' advice), I opted for the Sofitel NY for our week-long trip to NYC. My previous experience with Sofitel during a stay in Lisbon had been excellent. I expected little less this time, and was not disappointed. Needless to say, Sofitel know how to run a hotel. Every single employee was friendly, polite...

Great location and amazing service. If you want the highest quality in terms of bed, sofa, carpet, etc, you probably should book a 4.5 - 5 star hotel.

Stayed at Sofitel this past weekend on trip to NYC to attend Glee concert as b'day gift to my teenage grandaughter. This was my first stay at a Sofitel and was thoroughly enjoyable. No complaints to mention as the service, the room, the public spaces were all impeccable. I enjoyed the nice touch of fresh orchids in bathroom and on...

Great location, 1 block from 5th Ave shops, 1 1/2 blocks from Times Square. Friendly staff and nice bar. Room a good size, spotlessly clean. Not cheap, but got quite a good deal through booking.com. Would definately stay here again.

I travel to New York for both Business and pleasure about every two weeks. This trip was a combination of both. Usually when I travel I stay at Starwood hotels and have stayed at the Westin and almost every W hotel in New York. I have also stayed in the Mrriot Marquis, the Millineum, the Plaza, the Four Seasons, several...

We just returned from a long weekend at the Sofitel and had a wonderful stay! The location can't be beat as it's very close to Times Square, and walking distance to many great restaurants, Rockefeller Center, Bryant park, Fifth ave. stores, several subway stations, and much more. The staff was top notch, including the maid service. The toiletries were excellent....

My partner had e-mailed ahead of our trip which ws to be my 30th birthday celebration and on arrival we were upgraded from the queen room we'd booked to a superior king on the 18th floor. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
