The Benjamin is my go-to hotel when visiting my company's offices in New York. It's stylish in a traditional kind of way, extremely clean, relatively quiet when the windows are shut, and convenient if you have to be in Midtown. Room service options at breakfast are excellent, although expensive. (Ess-a-Bagel is only a few steps away as an excellent morning... More

Booked a king studio. Large room by NYC standards. The bathroom could use more counter space but nice shower head and there is a window in the bathroom. I love the kitchenette, microwave, plates, silverware, coffee maker and refrigerator. It's great after a day of walking around to take to the bed with cold/warm drinks and some snacks. Staff is... Always a nice room, clean bathroom and kitchen area. We were able to upgrade to a suite for a small increase in price which provided a lot more space, a kitchen and a King bed. overall, awesome location, good friendly service and easy stay with no issues

Nice hotel, not a lot to look at from the outside but the rooms are nice and clean, the people were very friendly and I really don't have any complaints except the valet parking is a little expensive and slow but hey, it's New York - that is just par for the course.

The Benjamin is a great location and has a nice bar with fantastic drinks. Our room was small but nice and we loved the pillows. We visit the city as often as possible and we will certainly return to this hotel. Keep up the good work.

We had a great room at the Benjamin Hotel. The hermostat was a little funky so the room was a bit hot. Couldn't adjust it below 66. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Bar bill was high but then We are used to western Massachusetts.

I have stayed at the Benjamin hotel several times over the years and reviewed it while ago for Trip Adviser. It remains an excellent choice and I will continue to go there. But nothing is perfect. Hotel competition in New York is murderous and the Benjamin is not free from the temptation of fiddling with their prices. Hotels need to... More

We stayed at the Benjamin this time in NY because of the fact that their restaurant, The National (TNL) serves most excellent breakfast... and the great central location. We took a King suite, just to be nice and comfortable while visiting. But I must admit I'm a disappointed at the lack of ambiance and mediocre service of the hotel. While... More

This summer, in August, I was on a honeymoon with my wife in the best city in the world - New York! That wonderful city and only, true metropolis in the world I knew only from books and movies, but now I got the opportunity to see it close and enjoy world famous buildings, museums and statues. All of that... More

Things started and ended well for our first stay at The Benjamin, but some stuff in between was not good. We booked through Hotel Tonight but since my hubby still needs a roll-in shower after his foot surgery, we called the front desk and had them on the phone while we booked our HT reservation so that they would be... Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
