Travel a lot to New York for business and this is easily the best decently priced hotel I have stayed in yet. Rooms are small - although you can pay extra for a larger room of course - but are perfectly adequate for a short stay. You might get cabin fever if you were there for a week. Parts of...

We loved this hotel, charming and elegant, yet not stuffy and over-done. It is close to 5 different subway lines and a few blocks from Central Park. If you are looking to be in the middle of the action, this is not for you. We truly enjoyed every aspect ofthis property and we will definitely be back.

I think it’s fair to say that the rooms are comparable in size to a Paris Hotel room, but that doesn’t detract too much as the storage is clever and I didn’t come to NY to sit in my room. The hotel has two bars, both fantastic and really lively on a weekend. We had a 5th floor room facing...

Nice looking and good location but very noisy because of music from the bar. We were on the 14th and got moved to the 18th and the noise was just as bad until the bar finally closed. The third night the HVAC system made a loud hammering sound every 15-20 seconds. The janitor looked at it at 12:30 AM and...

First off, yes, the rooms are small. But we were in New York as tourists, so we didn't spend much time in the rooms. The decor is very well done, with a nice attention to detail. I loved the wood panelling on the walls, and the room was very functional. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more professional. Our...

We recently visited NYC for my daughter's 17th birthday and I must say it was another fantastic stay at the Hudson! This spot continues to be my New York City home away from home. I strongly believe the most appealing aspect about this spot is the raw NYC vibe it creates. The Hudson staff was incredibly accommodating. I feel at...

Clean, compact rooms but well laid out. A safe and a small fridge in room, very useful. No coffee/tea facilities but we took our own kettle. Good location, very close to Central Park. Good Deli on corner as well as a good 24hr restaurant, chemist and food store. Would recommend but with some reservations as not cheap. Staff were friendly...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
