This was our ninth visit to this superbly central mid Manhattan hotel. The place just gets better and better from the effortless check-in , quality Junior Suite which is perfect for a 4 night stay, to the wine and cheese evening and free breakfasts. I've said this about other nice hotels we've stayed in over the years...it's the staff that...

Stayed at The Library Hotel for 6 nights and found it to be a splendid experience. Great welcome at reception and all staff were very polite and genuine throughout our stay. Room was quite small but really comfortable. The room was made up every day and the bed turned down every night with a chocolate on the pillow. Towels changed...

Spent 3 nights. Best hotel for business or pleasure. Small and quiet with superb service. Great location, good breakfast. Every day from 5pm to 8pm there is free wine and cheese reception. Enjoyed every minute. Will 100% sure come back again.

A really fine 4 star hotel, great location a stones throw from Grand Central, very competent restaurant attached to the hotel, rooms are big enough, beds generous. Unless you crave the indulgence of great space then the Library is a great base in Manhattan.

I chose the Library Hotel primarily because of its location near Fifth Avenue shopping and the Broadway theatre district for a recent quick one-night visit to NYC. I was immediately charmed by the warm welcome I received when I arrived in the morning. Invited to store my bags, I checked out the second-floor lounge and was offered a cup of...

The service was great. I came in very late from the west coast and the two men on duty tried hard to find me some food. The room was fine - nice amenities, very comfortable bed. TVs could be updated and, like many hotels in NY, the room was on the small side (I had a delux queen). The breakfast/snack...

... and that is not common in NYC. The library is an amazingly welcoming, cozy, and understate de-lux heaven in a perfectly well communicated midtown location. We stayed in a junior suite with our small daughter in the 9th floor and all was just remarkably fine: the size, shape and looks of the room, the magnificent bed, the also really...

This was our 4th stay at the Library Hotel this year. Very convenient location, always sparkling clean and attentive staff make this our favorite place to stay in New York. The smaller size, open lounge with beverages available all day, continental breakfast and evening wine and cheese helps make this hotel feel like home.

You just can't beat the service and staff at this hotel! The room was always made up and towels refreshed each day and the continental breakfast and all-day coffee service and snacks was a welcome feature. The wine and cheese each day was a particularly pleasant experience. Nice after a day about town!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
