Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Quin New York is often described as an elegant and modern hotel, boasting an atmosphere that provides a peaceful city escape. Its prime location is a stone's throw from Central Park and Times Square, making it a hit with guests who also commend its spotless cleanliness. However, some visitors mention that the value proposition could be better, pointing to the high costs relative to room size and services offered. While the rooms are generally well-equipped, noise can sometimes be an issue. Service is typically friendly and professional, though reviews are mixed regarding the extent of amenities provided.

Perfect location, around the corner from Central Park, Carnegie Hall, 5th Ave, Columbus Circle, etc. Smaller hotel so it was nice and quiet and there was no waiting for elevators like you have to do at the huge hotels in the area. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We had a small studio king which was a bit tight but we were only in the room to sleep. Coffee makers and bottled water in the rooms, refreshed daily. Beautiful bathroom. Overall a lovely, quiet place to stay in the heart of the city and excellent staff/location.

Had a wonderful stay here. Everything was top notch. Clean, friendly professional staff, beautiful room. So conveniently located to attractions, shopping and transportation. So many options for restaurants close by Central Park is right around the corner and Bryant Park is in walking distance. We will be back

The rooms are very large (for NY standards) and elegantly appointed, it is locaed in a perfect spot on billionaires avenue few steps away from columbus circle. Very high Quality of sleep, the room was quiet. The hotel does not provide a restaurant for breakfast, but in the vicinity there are lots of excellent restaurants. Unfortunately owr room had a wall 2 feets outside the window, it was a bit claustrophobic. Recommended.

Our first trip to Manhattan was made unforgettable by our stay at The Quin Hotel. Nestled next to Billionaire’s Row, between Central Park and Times Square, and across from Carnegie Hall, the location couldn't have been better. Opting for The Quin over Times Square was a wise decision as it offered the perfect balance between accessibility and tranquility. The staff at The Quin were truly exceptional, providing impeccable service with a genuine warmth that made us feel right at home. From check-in to check-out, every interaction was a pleasure. Our room was not only clean and comfortable but also thoughtfully designed, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the city. And of course, the mattress was fantastic, ensuring a restful night's sleep each evening. Overall, our experience at The Quin Hotel surpassed our expectations in every way. With its prime location, excellent staff, and comfortable accommodations, it's the perfect choice for anyone looking to experience the best of Manhattan without compromising on comfort and tranquility.

This hotel room was like a prison cell. It was dark and miserable. Austere doesn't begin to describe it. The "windows" were frosted glass and there appeared to be HVAC equipment (or another wall) just on the other side of them, so not a ray of daylight could enter. The room was a tiny "Studio King." The furniture looked like it had been salvaged from somewhere. There was no desk. A chair was wedged between the window and bed, so you couldn't actually sit in it. The dresser had an outlet built in the top but it didn't work. I stayed at The Quin years ago when it was an independent hotel. It was gorgeous, full of tasteful details. What did Hilton do to this place? On the plus side, and there was one: the bathroom was modern, clean, and functional, with nice tilework, a strong shower, and good amenities.

A fantastic clean and comfortable hotel just 2 minutes walk from Central Park. I prefer to stay closer to Central Park but that is my preference, it’s only about a 15/20 minute walk to Time Square and there is a subway station right on the corner of the hotel. I thought the hotel was perfect location clean and very comfortable the house keeping team were excellent and always supplied us with 2 fresh bottles of water every morning. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, we booked a deluxe 1 king bed plus It was spacious with a large walk in shower, We had a city view room as we requested and the black out blinds did a great job of blocking out any light . We did hear the road noise but this is Manhattan and I’ve come to expect to hear some road noise. I would fully recommend this hotel to anyone and I will be booking The Quin for our next trip to New York.

Nice enough hotel in a good central location right on top of central park and many subway lines. Quick walk to all midtown tourist attractions. The lobby and hallways are clean and attractive. I was in room 401 which was very large for a standard NYC hotel room and very well appointed. What I didn't like about the room was that it was literally adjacent to the elevators and all the noise that comes with that, plus the windows, while there were many, all looked into an ugly interior courtyard filled with mechanical equipment. It didn't matter to me on this trip and maybe it's not important in a city like NYC where anything you need is available right outside your building door, but the hotel itself has few amenities on site. There is a gym and a library type room in the lobby but that is it. No restaurant, bar, store, etc... All in all, I would stay there again but I would request a different room. When I stay in NYC which is fairly often, I want to be on a higher floor with a view of something like skyline, streets...anything other than a dank courtyard filled with mechanical equipment. To that end, I prefer the Hilton Midtown three blocks down 6th Avenue.

Not worth the price! There are no services here, not even coffee in the lobby. There was a very strong cooking odor in the first room I was given and in the hallway. Apparently that comes from a restaurant near the hotel. The men who work there are very nice but the women who checked me in and out were terrible! They are abrupt, behave as though they don't want to provide any customer service, and were argumentative. Not good customer service at all. I won't subject myself to that again for a hotel that has nothing to offer guests and smells.

This hotel has THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. When I say that the management team does not care whatsoever about their customers, I mean it. My wife and I had booked 2 nights using Amex Points for a little weekend get together. Being 7 months pregnant, she didn't bother to double check if she had her drivers license on her since she clearly was not going to be going bar hopping. We had unfortunately booked the hotel through her name but had the card we'd booked with, multiple cards in her name, a PICTURE of the front and back of her drivers license, as well as a picture of her passport. The manager (Brendan) REFUSED to accept any of this as verification of her identity and instead of even trying to help, wanted us to cancel our reservation, lose the points used to book it, and then rebook at a 150$ more per night. To make matters even more frustrating, when we initially asked if there was any way to resolve the issue, THE STAFF LITERALLY ROLLED THEIR EYES and looked bored before suggesting we try to switch the name on the reservation to mine. Unfortunately, Amex online travel service's system was down. To try and help us out, Amex called The Quin to let them know that yes, this was indeed my wife and I, and that the system was currently inoperable. Brendan the manager could not have cared less about my very pregnant wife and was entirely dismissive. I sincerely hope that anyone looking to stay here sees this review. Take your money or points and stay at Park Lane or Le Meridien. This hotel is a TRAVESTY and puts the term "hospitality" to shame. Brendan the manager is an awful representative for the Hilton Brand, and is an abysmal manager that should not be working in any service capacity. I can say with zero hesitation that the entire experience has destroyed my desire to stay at Hilton Hotels. I would give "The Quin" zero stars if it were possible.

The Quin is a beautiful timeshare in mid-Manhattan. Very elegant, modern entry/foyer and units themselves are nicely appointed, though small. The one area for improvement is cleanlyof corners in bathroom—dusty. Helpful doorman who walked to the corner to hail us a cab!!
