The FIDI Hotel garners appreciation for its stylish, clean rooms and comfortable beds, with guests often commending the professional and friendly staff. Cost-conscious travelers appreciate the affordable rates, although some note additional fees. While the hotel's location is well-regarded for convenience to attractions and transport, the lack of vibrant nightlife nearby is a drawback for some. Amenities like the cozy bar and complimentary drinks are popular, despite a few missing in-room features. Overall, the hotel's cleanliness receives high marks, even with occasional service hiccups.

Such a CUTE hotel!! Very hip and trendy aesthetic. Rooms are designed with the traveler in mind. Their staff are all courteous and beyond hospitable. Great room service too. I came here on business and I will definitely be back when I return to nyc.

It was a good location and quiet. We liked having the water in the room as well as morning coffee and tea on the second floor patio. The front desk staff was always helpful providing great suggestions for best restaurants and giving the best directions for each location.

Yes stayed here for four nights and extended an extra five nights. Can't fault this place. Clean, quiet, found loads of places to eat, used the multiple subway stations and ferries all in walking distance and loads of major attractions all there within blocks. So this place is down town in the financial district and have friends staying on Park Avenue near Time Square which I would describe as a swanky dogs breakfast of a place running around the clock. God I am so glad I am staying where I am in the financial district. It's quiet at night and I wish I could stay longer here but life is calling.

I’m a regular visitor to NY and thought I’d give this hotel a try - it proved to be a big mistake that I will not be repeating.
Whilst I like the location and what looked like a newish bathroom there are a few fundamental issues that this hotel needs to resolve in my view. To name a few:
- I arrived early with no expectation that my room would be ready. I was told my room was in-fact ready - what a pleasant surprise after a very long journey. I was then told it would cost me $100 for the early access to the room, something I have never experienced before. This on top of the large room rate and the “resort tax” and the usual hold on my card would have made for an expensive check-in. I declined on principle but I think it’s worth calling this out if you are planning to stay here that the usual swings and roundabouts on check-in/out do not seem to apply.
- the room was beyond tiny. Even by NYC standards it was tiny. For 1 person for 1 night it’s maybe ok but for 2 of us for 2 nights definitely not. My compliments to the property photographer who did a great job of disguising the actual size.
- our room (707) therefore had the bed positioned so that the solid corner of the bed, low down and the same colour as the carpet, stuck out and in my view represented a major health & safety hazard. No idea if it’s the same in other rooms but if not I suggest to avoid this room. I have bruises where I managed to kick the metal spike many times.
- housekeeping showed-up at 4pm just after we had returned for a quick pre-show shower. We were told they finish at 5 so if you can’t be out by then - no service!
Honestly we were glad to leave this hotel as everything seemed to be a struggle and I didn’t notice any level of customer service the whole time I was there I swapped emails with someone that appeared to be in a management position who ignored the health and safety issue, appeared to be surprised about the early check-in fee (or alternatively doubt my story?) and subsequently made a token refund.
I will not be back.

Hi ItchyFeet thank you for your candid review about your stay with us. I was actually the person with whom you communicated with during your stay. The moment I received your feedback I reached out to you to discuss the issues you were experiencing. I'm very sorry that you kept hitting your foot on the base of your bed, and as such I offered you a complimentary upgrade to a Stone St. facing corner king room. As explained in my email chat with you, this was a quadruple upgrade (you had booked our most affordable room type which offers limited floor space) and it would have afforded you much more space and generous natural light. Unfortunately, you declined this upgrade. We have not heard this feedback previously but we are looking into this as we speak, so thank you for bringing it to my attention. Our Housekeepers clean all day long and I can understand your frustration returning to a room that has not yet been serviced. Please accept my apologies for this. Despite these issues I hope you enjoyed your time exploring NYC.

We stayed here for 7 nights, in room 2606, on the 26th floor.
They gave us a room adapted for the disabled, so it was quite large in size, and more for New York. The bathroom also very large, all adapted.
Although the room had a considerable size, the bed was very small, as for one person. It was comfortable, but very small, so being a couple, we could not sleep very well during our stay.
The room is also very dark. It has a large window, but it has an office building less than 3 meters away, so you have to have the shutter down all day.
As for outside noises, well, for the height. But the internal noises were quite annoying. The room had ducts (not air-conditioned) through which noises, snaps, even sometimes the draft could be heard. One night we also got a rather unpleasant smell of marijuana through these ducts.
It has a safe, but no fridge, and a small table with a chair and another small armchair next to the bed. The wardrobe is also quite narrow, it fits very little clothes (we use the armchair as a “wardrobe”).
The location is good in terms of transport, with a metro exit on the same street, and other stops very close, but as for the area itself, we did not like it much, especially at night. It was nothing dangerous, but it was all very “off” by most streets.
The best thing about the whole stay was the cleanliness of the room, excellent.
We were held on bail for $700 for the seven nights, which we've been held on.

I’m currently staying at the hotel, and while it’s super clean, comfortable, and in a fantastic location, I’m disappointed by the lack of amenities for the daily destination fee of over $30. It’s basically just discounts for local restaurants and tourist spots, which doesn’t seem worth it, especially since most every other destination fee at other NYC hotels includes a food/beverage credit. Also, I find it strange there’s no iron, ironing board, or even a small fridge in the room. It’s not a huge deal, but odd for a nicer hotel. It’s a nice place, but these small issues are a bit frustrating.

Thank you for your review! I'm happy that you found our location convenient and that you enjoyed your stay overall. While we have no irons, we do have steamers and refrigerators that will be delivered to your room upon request. Our destination fee does include many wonderful amenities including coffee and tea on our second floor, fruit infused water, wine hour during the week in addition to discounts to area restaurants. I can understand how this can be frustrating. I do hope you would consider staying with us again in the future.

Beautiful new hotel in this area. I travel to NYC office few times a month and so far this hotel is up to my expectations. Rooms are clean, good size (space for you luggage ) has a working desk as well. I love how modern their bathrooms are, always filled with deferent size towels and smells nice.
The staff is really friendly and they aways try to go out of their way to accommodate me with my requests ( I always ask for higher floor room ). This is my TO GO hotel in NYC!

Pros:
New hotel
Clean and nice basic rooms
Umbrella in the room
Near subway

Cons:
Beside a weed shop, you'll smell Marijuana when you go out the hotel
When we checked out and left the hotel, received a charge on my card for almost $35 per night. This was not indicated upon booking and was not informed upon check in.
When you check in they would place a hold on your card for $100 per night for incidentals but don't inform you about the additional fees.
You would think you would get a great deal based on the price when you book but you'll get blindsided by the additional fees on your card when you leave the hotel.

Hello and thank you for your review! I'm sorry to hear that you were not made aware of the nightly destination fee that is usually described during the check in process. This fee includes discounts to area restaurants, complimentary infused and bottled water daily, coffee and tea, high speed wifi and access to our fitness center. Inclusive of taxes this comes to just under $35 per night. I can see how this would be an unwelcome surprise on your bill and hope it does not prevent you from staying with us again in the future!

They say the devil is in the details and this hotel stay was so great! Our room was immaculate, the staff was attentive, (we asked for extra towels and toiletries) and everyone always had a smile or a hello when we saw them. The front desk gave great recommendations for restaurants in the neighborhood and the hotel was close to so much- all the subways seem to be very close. We were in town for a show at Barclay's Center and the subway ride (right on the same block!) was 15 minutes. This will be my new go to spot in the financial district!

I have been staying at this hotels for few times now in the past 2 months. My corporate is part of their corporate program (great % off and complimentary amenities). The Agents are very nice and welcoming, I meet the GM at their complimentary welcome drink event on a Friday and felt very welcomed from her as well. The rooms are very nice size, cozy, very confutable bed and very peaceful. The bathroom appliances are high end and very large size for a hotel especially in NYC. Last thing I would say is, the hotel rooms are clean. Nothing beats clean room!! My co workers and I will continue staying here for all of our future travels.
