We knew the rooms were small, having read the reviews here. But ours was very comfortable and had what we needed for a short, pre-cruise stay. Very comfortable bed, nice bedding, more than adequate outlets for chargers and extremely friendly and helpful staff.
First, let me emphasize that the rooms are very small. If that's a deal breaker for you, don't book a room here. Also, there is no hotel restaurant, but there is a Whole Foods next door. The room has a nice sized room refrigerator. It...More

Basic, tiny, clean rooms. I was a Mon -Wed night stay at $300 a night. My room, #108, was across from the elevator. It was noisy. It is just above the ground floor so you have to keep the blackout curtains closed if you are...More
There were definitely good and some not-good things about this hotel. Good - great location if you need to be on the lower East Side. As other reviewers have emphasized the rooms are small, even by NYC standards. That being said, the room was clean...More
Given the ridiculous hotel room pricing in NYC I thought I would try something different. While the room was clean and relatively modern the hotel had absolutely no facilities for today's business travelers. Even for vacation/holiday the rooms are way too small and the bathrooms...More

There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to
wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
