A hidden gem! We wanted to find a hotel that wasn't in the heart of touristland. This hotel was significantly cheaper than a lot of the others we saw so we were unsure about what we were going to get... we could not have been more pleasantly surprised! Great location in walking distance to Chinatown and Soho areas, and a quick metro ride away into most main areas. The decor has a super cool hip young vibe and the rooms were clean and modern. We went for the smallest room, which suited us perfectly as we were using it as a base to sleep. The bed was comfortable and we didn't hear too much of the outdoor noise (we were on floor 5). The bathroom was very small, but again, fine for a couple of nights. There is a filtered water tap to refill drinks bottles and a nice coffee machine. There is also the added bonus of a barista being available during the day where you can get complimentary coffee and in the morning, also free pastries, though you had to be up early to get these as the queue built up fast and they ran out quickly. If you want a little more space for 2 of you, then maybe opt for a larger room, but overall we would 110% come back to this hotel again on our next visit to NYC!

If you are looking for a clean, functional and relaxed place, reasonably priced and in a convenient location: this is a great find. The room was small but astutely set up: it has all one needs for a short trip, including a coffee machine and (very) small fridge. The en suite bathroom was also small but clean. The room was quiet (window opening on the inside courtyard - ask for that if you want a quiet room). Free latte/cappuccino plus one delicious pastry offered in the morning: enough to get you going to explore this vibrant neighborhood. This is an up and coming NYC area, for youngish guests, with graffitis in the alley, but feeling safe, even at night.

Maybe the goal is to keep this great spot off the beaten path, but I am so glad we found it! My husband and I booked the room that was one upgrade in size from the basic one. We appreciated the extra space. The room was spacious, clean, and bright. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Staff was great. We loved the pastries and coffee that were included. Meant to ask who supplied them because they were so fresh! Plus the barista crafted a delicious cappuccino that was included and was probably worth about $8. The rooftop bar was booked for private events both nights we were there, but that just gives us a reason to come back! So glad we booked this unique LES hotel. Now I just want to explore the area and its history even more!

This is a hidden gem that I highly recommend for anyone seeking an affordable place to crash in a safe environment. The alley provides so much character. They are genius in how they utilize every inch of space. Water provided on every floor. Complementary drink and pastry in the morning is wonderful! The neighborhood is average with easy access to the subway/bus. Plenty of food within walking distance. I'll definitely stay again and from others checking in it seemed possible to get a room same day without reservations.

We stayed at Untitled 3 Freeman Aly the past two nights. The first night we thought we were somehow near a train. Only after sleeping very poorly because of the same excessive noise our second night did we realize that our room, 220, abutted the elevators and shafts. This was horrible noise; our bed was against the elevators. Sadly the company did not care. We requested a discount to acknowledge that we had terribly truncated sleep at both ends of our evening, but the company simply did not care. There’s a mystery to the property, including the name, but the mystique extends to ownership when you need them.
Additionally, the hotel is in a dark, dirty worn ally. My wife did not feel safe going for a run. This was a disappointing stay.

We stayed here during our stay in Manhattan and were very pleased. The location is convenient for several food options and for the subway station to take you throughout the city. The accommodations are minimalist (which I loved!), but it was very enjoyable and incredibly clean. The complimentary coffee and pastries served in the morning were a great start to the day. I recommend and would definitely stay again.

Cool and thoroughly comfortable space! Stylish yet functional rooms, unique in its service offerings -1the basics—coffee bar,etc plus amazing rooftop bar, scooters to rent, high-end tattoo parlor.
Feels a bit like a European boutique hotel in the best sense. But WHAT a New York experience!

An exceptional experience from start to finish! The rooms were impeccably clean, offering just the right balance of comfort and simplicity. The breakfast was outstanding, and the artistic ambiance of the hotel added a unique charm to the stay. Located perfectly, it made exploring the city a breeze. However, what truly set this hotel apart was the staff's unparalleled dedication. They effortlessly accommodated my last-minute meeting changes with grace and professionalism. A heartfelt thank you for making my stay truly memorable!
