The NoMad Hotel is housed in a turn of the century Beaux-Arts building that has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel is intended as a fresh take on the classic grand hotels of Europe with a distinct New York sensibility. The design of the hotel was inspired by the Parisian flat of Garcia’s youth. The 168 rooms are residential in feel and decorated in his classic, timeless style. Each room is appointed with hand-selected, richly textured custom-designed furnishings and original artwork. The soaring ceilings throughout the public spaces provide a fine gathering place to enjoy dining, drinking and socializing.

Came back from Cali and my apartment was flooded! I was told from a friend to stay at The Nomad. I had only been to the one in LA so i thought i would give it a try. It was a terrible experience. The front desk agents had a bad attitude and acted as if i was doing them a

Just wow! From the implacable service, the bar, the restaurant and the Library! This place is an absolute must stay when In New York. Great location too - walkable to almost everywhere good if you are the type to keep your steps up, without being “too” in the thick of it. Great

My husband and I stayed four nights for New Years weekend. We were going to four shows at Madison Square Garden and this hotel was just far enough away from the Times Square crowds but close enough to walk to MSG. The bathtub was wonderful to come back to after long days and

We stayed here for 3 nights in November after my husband ran the NY marathon. The first night we stayed on the 3rd floor in a room with a bathtub. It was beautiful! But it was loud with the noise from the street. We went to the front desk and spoke with a lovely lady who said

I agree with others, I think it depends on what you want to do and see. It is a transition neighborhood, but walk south/west and there are an abundance of terrific neighborhood restaurants. Madison Sq Park is lovely. I am not a huge fan of midtown, so i try to avoid it. Subway is very close by hotel so you really can get anywhere. I loved to Nomad, and had a wonderful service experience.
