My daughter and I stayed 2 nights at the hip and trendy Refinery Hotel before switching to this hotel to sample luxury. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was on the top floor which was a bonus and although it was not very spacious it was fine for a 2 night stay. The reception staff were friendly with one...

Who needs the traffic, the noise and the craziness of Times Square? Escape from all of it at the Mandarin Oriental. Overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park - the beautiful views of the Upper East side, the Mandarin is synonymous with plus, extravagant luxury and most of all service. Upon check-in you can expect your butler to promptly serve you...

My partner and I stayed in the hotel in February to get a break from the endless weather beatings. We were looking forward to a weekend of pampering and fun in New York City. Unfortunately, again our experience was less than 5 stars and far from the "Mandarin experience" so heavily advertised and that I had become accoustomed to. Besides...

This is THE best hotel in NYC for the views. Yes, it is expensive, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The concierge was great in finding us only the best of the best. The hotel conveniently has a connector to the shopping center, has a subway station close and the doormen work hard for their money. If someone else was paying...

I've been staying at the Mandarin Oriental New York since it opened. Before I discovered this incredible oasis, I tried at least a dozen other high end hotels in Manhattan which were always a disappointment. From the moment you arrive at the Mandarin you will be treated like "royalty". Their entire operation is of the highest caliber in every way....

Awesome place to stay. Probably the fanciest so far that I have been too, but you will pay for it too. Basic rooms run about $895 for just one night. Would be great for a special occasion though. Close to everything, including Central Park, and within walking distance to many attractions including broadway, Times Square, etc. it's also connected to...

This is a good hotel but it needs to improve to be in the class it is aiming for. There was no email to remind me of my stay. So when I checked with the hotel they transferred the call twice to central reservation who said that the reservation number that I had provided did not exist. This led to...

We stayed from 30/4 until 2/5 in a Hudson View room on the 54th floor to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel for location, service and comfort. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
