I cannot really write about the quality of the rooms, because we had never had a chance to see it. Before booking this guesthouse we exchanged a few emails with, I guess, the owner to ask if late arrival (at midnight) is possible. It is of course possible for an additional fee of 20 dollars. The day before our arrival...

We had eight nights at 102 Brownstone, with very few complaints. We love Harlem - the culture, the people, the restaurants, the music - and we didn't experience any concerns regarding safety. We stayed in the Cafe suite which had a private ensuite, TV, DVD player, bar fridge and microwave. The room was neat and clean. The shower head was...

We stayed at 102 Brownstone for a week in September. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, the location was close to the subway and the neighborhood was great with lots of restaurants and services that gave it a real neighbourhood feel. It was, to us, far preferable than staying in the hotel zone. The downside is that...

I was happy to find room at this Brownstone as it is a quick 2 blocks from my sister's apt. It was unseasonably cold for june and so i was very grateful I never had far to go to getto bed. But the inn was disappointing. I rang a bell and waited and waited and no one came. I opeded...

This place is my second home. I've stay here four times and Lizette always makes me feel like family. It's neat, clean, cozy, centrally located, near banks, grocery stores, restaurants and the subway. I travel alone a lot and I always feel safe going out and walking around the neighborhood. I highly recommend 102 Brownstone.

Great place to stay, clean, convenient, and cozy! Second time staying here on a trip to NYC and its still the best place to stay. Walking distance to Central Park, 125th st, and the subway. Safe to walk around the neighborhood as well.

Liz was such a great host even though we had to deal with issues like our flight being delayed. Everything thing was neat and clean and the close proximity to banks, trains station and food was also great. I love this place it's secured with locked doors and a pin number that changes with each stay. We stayed in a...

Lizette, the owner, is an amazing host. Our plane was delayed an hour and she was so nice and accomodating when I called to tell her. Upon our arrival, she provided us with subway and city maps, restaurant guide, and information about the neighbourhood. The room was really cute, very clean, and had everything we needed. Important to note, however;...

I have to admit, I was a little leery about staying in Harlem from all of the stories I have heard in the past however, I would stay here again without hesitation! I attended a training for work nearby and I am so glad I decided to stay at 102 Brownstone. I stayed in the Cafe room which was so...

All I can say is 102 Brownstone is a great place, it is perfectly placed for the subway and only a few short stops on the 3 or 2 downtown train, you could not ask for a better host in Lizette, if you need anything just ask but if you want to be left to your own devices then that's...
