The rooms are very underwhelming and the check in time took half hour. It's a very busy hotel which is understandable but the level of service and size of the room doesn't justify the price. I would recommend only if you don't plan on staying in the room that much. The good thing is that they do have lots of...

Hello Daniel Y Thank you for your feedback. Did you have to wait 30 mins to do your check in or did you have to wait 30 mins to check in. Our check in process is generally really smooth, so I am surprise it took 30 mins to check in. Regardless, our intent is for our guest not to spend...

I've stayed here twice and it's been a great experience each time. Like most midrange hotels in NYC, the rooms are small. But, they are clean, stylish & the showers are awesome. It was nearly 100 degrees there this wknd & I had to shut the AC off because it worked so well and the room got cold quickly. The...

POD 39 is a few blocks from Grand Central Station, affordable (for NYC), and reasonably clean. To get such a good deal at this prime location, the guest must be willing to stay in an extremely small room. The small room size was fine with us -- we were never there other than to sleep and shower. We had a...

My 16 year old son and I stayed in a room with bunk beds. I was a little worried that it would be too small and we would be falling all over ourselves but I was pleasantly surprised to find we had plenty of room (no more or less than an average NYC hotel room) with all the comforts of...

The Hotel looks quite nice. The pricing is OK. The rooms, I had a regular double bed room, are TINY. There is a bed with couple feet between the bed and the bathroom - and that is it. But if you look for a place to sleep and store your luggage it will do just fine.

Great style, minimalistic design, space optimized rooms and an amazing rooftop bar. I'll be back. Had free WiFi on every room, safebox, hair dryer. My room has a queen bed, a desk with all the conecting options to plug my computer to the TV to check my presentations (Nice idea)

The rooms are very small but very clean and modern. The hotel's location is close to Grand Central Terminal for transportation and shopping and within walking distance of attractions like Times Square, Macy's, Central Park and Bryant park. The hotel staff are very helpful and reception is open 24 hours a day. The staff gave me maps and information about...

The location can't be beat and the price for a decent accommodation in this part of Midtown Manhattan is splendid. The staff was lovely. The shower was great. What more do you need in Manhattan (where you intend to be out and about) than a good bed, a great shower, and high speed internet? All worked perfectly.

Tried both Pods in NYC. While the rooms in Pod 39 have an attached bath, this means your room will have a lingering smell if you do a #2. Also, the shower does not have hot water unlike Pod 51. It's also farther from the subway, although Grand Central Terminal has more lines.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
