A quick trip to NYC from Upstate. Pod 39 is in a great location. The rooms are small but have what you need. Beds are comfortable and the rainfall shower is exquisite. Everything was clean and functioning. We arrived at 8 am so our luggage was stored for us and we could check in at 3 pm. When we checked...

So far my favorite hotel in NYC. It has everything I need. Convenient location. Clean room. Comfortable mattress. Fast wifi. Considering the price, the room is actually bigger than I expected. This place is perfect for budget travelers. I hope there will be more pod hotels in NYC.

Great stay for a solo traveller, however beware I had a queen room and was alone and it was perfect, not sure I would have liked to share it with anyone else, not even someone very close as the toilet is about 1m from the bed! Amazing location, very trendy and busy place which gives a nice buzz to the...

Well maintained rooms, small but everything you need. Busy in the evening when the roof terrace is open. Great location, Staff are very helpful, Close to catch the bus to the Newark airport. Used the bus twice had no problems, just factor in extra time to make sure you get a seat.

These Pod hotels should be more popular! Very convenient. Most of the time, especially in NYC, you don't need a full-service hotel. You just need a place to sleep well and shower. This fits the criteria perfectly. One time after a late night in the office, and an early start the next day, I decided to crash here. I booked...

Great place if you only need a room to sleep. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was fantastic with helpful directions and resolving any issues with stay per night rates. Very modern and very good shower head.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, right in the middle of Manhantan, you can walk to the UN, Times Squares, 5th avenue, Central Park and it's close to a lot of different subway lines making it very easy to travel through the city. The price is really good, it is clean and has some places for breakfast...

The rooftop had a really laid back vibe. Our wait time to actually get on the rooftop was about 30-35 minutes... There was a line to get our names on the wait list and then the extra 30-35 mins to actually get to the rooftop... Not sure if it's too worth it however. The place through which you enter the...

If you are looking for a clean hotel with a rude receptionist and a rude female bartender, you have found paradise ! Beware of Karolina! She does not like women who have reservations through trip-advisor. Particularly prepaid ones. Why is such rude behavior going on? Because they don't think women travelers will complain or review. But guess what? We do!

Hello S.D.(Robin) S I am sorry for the unfortunate experience you had with us during your time at Pod 39. We were surprised by the tiny nature of the "mini" bunk room but it fit our needs. Other reviewers have noted that the sliding glass door of the bathroom is only partially frosted, but we did not find it to be an issue. As two twenty-something girls visiting NYC for the first time we found the hotel provided us with...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
