A gem of a hotel tucked away into a busy street. Step inside and take a breath of fresh air. Superlative service, atmosphere with the nostalgia of yesterday and the conveniences of today. The rooftop is the icing on the cake. Love it!

I was in NYC for business and looked for a hotel based on location. Very warm and accommodating staff. I had arrived well before check in, and they took care of everything from taking care of my luggage to arranging transportation. The rooms are INDUSTRIAL and keeping with the theme of the hotel. Some might consider the industrial theme as...

If you are done with the big box hotels for business travel, this is where you need to go. Perfect size and amenities. Great to be near Bryant Park. Rooms can be on small end, but well furnished and styled. Lobby bar always packed with good music. Bellmen are very helpful.

I joined my husband his business trip and we initially selected the hotel based on the location of his meetings. We originally wanted to stay at the Carlyle but it was too far for this particular trip. Based on our absolutely AMAZING experience at The Refinery - we would stay there time and time again regardless of our NYC plans....

My husband and I are from NJ and look to stay for a city night here and there! I always look for unique places and avoid brand name hotels since they are awfully generic! I was searching for a great boutique hotel and couldn't have been more pleased! Perfectly located for what we were doing that night! Staff was extremely...

We wanted to do some shopping and have a few drinks in the city so we decided to stay for the night. We selected the Refinery Hotel, it was the best choice we made all weekend. From the moment we pulled up the to the time we left the staff was unbelievable. They were polite, down to earth and attentive...

This is a nice hotel from a physical perspective but missing the thoughtful details and service expected from a luxury hotel. Pros -Friendly staff working the front door and handling luggage. We were always greeted, welcomed back and acknowledged. -Comfortably sized rooms for a midtown NYC hotel. Cons -We arrived 30 minutes before check in time and were told our...

After booking on the hotel's website for a business/pleasure visit to NYC, I arrived late at night at the hotel to find out that they couldn't locate my reservation and there were no rooms available. I was exhausted and had a full day of meetings starting at 7 the following morning so needless to say I was not a happy...

We had books two rooms online, the reservations were lost when we called to check on them. They accommodated us the best they could with it being marathon weekend. The staff was super friendly and gave us bottles of wine upon check in. One of our rooms was an interior courtyard view and the room was spacious with a fabulous...

A great location, very close to Bryant park and lots of shopping. Lord & Taylor is on the corner. I like the style of the hotel. I took the atelier suite and it was very spacious with high ceilings. Reception staff were very friendly. Room service food is very good, albeit delivered like a takeout in boxes. My only irritation...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
