This was a memorable experience. The hotel is intimate, luxurious but not flashy. The hotel captures a historical/vintage vibe without overdoing it. Daniel, the concierge, was very helpful. In addition to its perfect location, a plus to the hotel is the restaurant across the street (Cookshop) -- great food and service as well. I would like to go back to...

If you are looking for a traditional bustling New York Hotel with the pretentiousness and indifference that sometimes accompanies this, this is not the hotel for you. If you would enjoy staying in an historic setting with gas lamps outside and a welcoming staff inside, then make reservations here. A stones throw from the High Line, galleries, Chelsea Market and...

This is a very strange hotel. Upon arrival you are greeted by a receptionist staring at a computer, housed in a hole in the wall that is the sum total of 'reception'. I really did feel sorry for them not being allowed to sit down all day. We were shown to a well appointed large room on the 3rd floor...

Thank you for your feedback and do appreciate your comments about our property. Rest assure that we rotate our staff to ensure they do have time away from our Lobby. Yes, our community is very supportive of our Intelligentsia Bar and do come throughout the day with their dogs and can fill the Lobby at time, and do certainly apologize...

The High Line is a beautiful period property. The check in was informal but extremely courteous and warm. The lift is very dark and smells odd. Feels a little haunted house like. My room was well appointed. Beautiful vintage furnishings. Sheets and bedding were perfect. Fresh, soft and extremely comfortable like the mattress. Excellent pillows and duvet. The bathroom is...

My husband and I have "staycationed" at The High Line Hotel twice for birthday celebrations (we live in Brooklyn) and love staying at this one-of-a-kind hotel in the city. The rooms are beautiful with antique (or at least antique-style), eclectic but classy furniture. They're also decked out with wonderful CO Bigelow products in the bathroom, location-relevant books, and a great...

I only stayed for 1 night!! It was a lovely stay and everything was clean and neat. The reception was really good and efficient!! The location is also really great!! I stayed in a standard room and was sufficient for 1 person, could get a tiny bit small if you are more than 1 person. I would just want to...

Thank you for your comments. I apologize for the room for being too warm and the lack of communication from our staff. We have thermostats that regulate our temperature and different fan speeds to boost warmth and cooling. We hope to have you back very soon.

Tiny lobby full of guests with dogs, people studying and on their computers, and a flow between the shared coffee shop/bar. Former seminar offers tiny but well outfitted rooms. You can invision the former students hunched over their desk, being warmed by the fireplace (now not functional) while reading by the light flowing in from the big windows. Water pressure...

My sister and I stayed here for a fun NYC overnight. The hotel is in a great Chelsea neighborhood, very close to the High Line, Chelsea Market, tons of shops and eateries. It is a remodeled historic building, with high ceilings, tiled bathrooms, thick walls, and high, large windows. There is a lovely front patio and cozy indoor seating area...

What an amazing suite it was! It was the EXACT room I had admired while studying up on this outstanding hotel--The pink leather club chair was so inviting, and before leaving this morning, I tried my hand at the lovely antique embosser... Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
