I decided to stay here because its location and charge for my first solo overseas trip. You can use the kitchen, of course some stuff too: dishes, mug cups, forks, spoons, and micro wave. There are many restaurants and cafes so you'll never worry about your meal. It takes only 5 - 10 min to Times Square on foot! I'm...

My friend and I stayed there for 1 week in Lemon room in Time Square, it's really close to subway (blue line), and there is a market just walk 1 min on the corner. Other guests were really nice and we are all girls! We chit chat to other girls! That's cool! However, the room in the night was a...

My daughter and I went to NY as her graduation gift from me, we stayed at the Herald Square location in the room with a private bathroom. The Love room. Our guide who brought us to the apartment was so sweet and showed us everything in the apartment so we knew everything and we were comfortable with our room. He...

If you have the right expectations going in, this is one of the best places to stay in NYC for the cost. Very unconventional - not quite an AirBNB or VRBO, and not quite a hotel or hostel. You're renting a room in an apartment, but other guests are renting the other rooms. The only common area was the kitchen....

My friend and I stayed at Times Square House - Sky room, in september. It's such a good location, near Times Square and 50th st subway station. The room has plenty of space, it is bright and clean. Also The bathroom was very clean. We did not use the kitchen. And the manager is a very gentle guy. The reservation...

My wife and I stayed at the Times Square location and we couldn't have been happier. Despite a major screw up on my part, the site manager was on top of everything and managed everything efficiently and cheerfully. It's NOT a hotel, but you get everything you need. Our room was bright and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The...

This is a shared apartment set up for visiting Koreans and so making the reservation may seem unusually complex but, once done, the on-site manager Aiko was very accommodating and has excellent spoken English. We rented all three rooms Monday-Friday in late-May 2015 at the Herald Sq apartment near 1250 Broadway (not the actual address) . The apartment is modern...

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. You pay by the room so you might have strangers in the next room. It was very clean and the kitchen as everything you need. We booked the Love & Joy rooms, the main bedroom has an ensuite and the other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. The apartment is 2...

I booked the Happy Room in Court Square for 3 nights and enjoyed every aspect of my stay over this Easter break. I am very satisfied about this accommodation choice for the latter half of my first-ever visit to New York and I would like to recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe environment (even at night), a...

if you don't want to spend a lot on where you sleep but want to have little more privacy, this place may be for you. Making reservation has a few more steps than hotels and payment is cash only. There are many rules and requirements. But, the rooms(I know only three out of all) are very big with sunny windows...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

“We were three people traveling, two related and one not. We took two rooms in the House of Herald Square, The Joy and Peace Rooms. You enter from the main hallway into the guesthouse. First is the kitchen to the right. Straight ahead is the door to the Peace Room. To the left of Peace is the Joy Room. To the right of Peace is the third room with the private bath.(All three bedrooms are on the outside wall of the building with nice large windows. This is the 11th floor of the bldg) Beside Joy is the bath shared by Peace and Joy. As we knew each other sharing a bath was not a problem. If I had traveled alone, I might have preferred the private room with bath ensuite.”
