Just returned from Hotel on Rivington last week and still can't believe what a great stay we had! I emailed to check our reservation in advance and happened to mention that we are on our honeymoon and had our Corner King With Balcony upgraded to a Studio Suite! And what an awesome suite it was! We were on 14th floor...

Stayed in this hotel for a weekend stay. We booked a high floor corner king room with a soaking tub, and the view was breathtaking!. Check in was very fast and the staff were extremely nice and friendly. Had nightly turn down service and housekeepers left complimentary treats on each night. The room and bathroom were very clean and the...

This is a wonderful hotel with fantastic service, great rooms, beautiful views, and close to everything!! We stayed over xmas, and our doorman was very knowledgeable about what was open nearby, and suggested a couple of fantastic and local restaurants. Our front desk staff was very helpful as well, especially in getting the room that we wanted (high, northfacing...definitely the...

We've stayed at this hotel for our anniversary or Christmas time "no kids date night out" a number of times and the hotel goes from strength to strength. Lester the doorman recognized us from prior stays and enthusiastically welcomed us and made sure we got our luggage to the room right away. Cristina checked us in early and suggested we...

We stayed for 4 nights in Dec 2012 and had a corner king on the 16th floor. Hotel lobby and hallways are a bit dark and, if im honest, a bit strange, but the room more than makes up for it. Great views across Manhattan, with the Empire State at the foot of our bed and the Williamsburg Bridge to...

Cool, trendy hotel in Lower East Side. Great location with many bars, restaurants and shops right outside the front door. Decor is a bold mix of reds and blacks. Can make the hallways a bit dark but still OK. Room was typical New York size but still a bit cramped with just walking space around the bed. Had a very...

We stayed here in December for 4 nights and had a corner king on the 18th floor. Stunning views of the city and a nerve wracking balcony made this a unique experience . Shower with a view of the Brooklyn bridge before wandering down to Katz's for a sandwich or see a band in one of the many great venues...

This hotel exceeded expectations in every category. First of all, the feel of the place is amazing. From the deep reds of the lobby to the walls of windows in the rooms. A room with a balcony makes an incredible difference and the staff was incredible. I loved the locations, cute bars line all the nearby streets. I cannot wait...

I booked this hotel for a weekend stay after reading a lot of positive reviews. The location was perfect for what we had planned - very close to the subway in the LES. Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
