DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. I had the unfortunate experience of staying in this disgusting hotel in NY. We were looking for a slighter cheaper but nice accommodation in the heart of Manhattan, and thought we had found a perfect hotel... We were greeted by the receptionist who was blunt and sarcastic, after we had a long bus journey....

For those who likes the beauty of the NYC and want to be out of the crazy tourist noise, a good choice in the core of Chelsea. Not for exigent people, needs improvements in the common areas and shared bathrooms. The rooms are like the pictures, very comfortable and the kitchen is super useful.

We arrived early in the morning before check in time the guy at the front desk was very friendly and let us store our luggage until check in time, when we checked into our room we found it was very clean and tidy it was perfect for crashing after a big day in New York, the shared bathroom was always...

This hotel is nothing like the photos on booking.com. However, in saying that when I was booking I wasn't naïve to think that it would be based on the price and new York accommodation in general. The hotel is a little on the shabby side but the rooms were clean. Staff could be a bit friendlier (there was no hello...

When we arrived the man at the counter did not care at all, and was over all really rude. The room smelled badly because of the poor air condition. Despite we had a teakitchen, there was no teatowels or a sponge to clean the dishes with. The shared bathroom always smelled badly. The breakfast was awfull and there was never...

very good starting point for discovering NY, close to subway and a couple of interesting places around. unfortunately overall living conditions were very poor (to say the least). I realise this is a hostel not 5 star marriott, but if if someone says "breakfasts included" I expect to have a breakfast and not rotten bagels (literally green bagels). is it...

Things positive about the stay: 1. the location--> in the middle of Manhattan. 2. The style of the rooms. Things negative about the stay: plenty. 1. Bad air conditioning: not working properly (we were in June, very hot days) 2. Breakfast is poor (by quantity and quality) and there is no proper space to do it: milk, coffee, few amounts of...

This hotel is located close to Chelsea Market, the High Line and Greenwich Village. If you want to move around Manhattan by subway, you will find the 14th St subway station very close to the hotel. The reception staff is nice and helpful, but the hotel itself is a bit shabby and could use a good paint job here and...

I visited this place in month of June, when i reached the hotel i was shocked with the ambience which wasn't that great. But when we stepped outside the hotel, then we realised that we made a good decision in selecting this hotel which was the centre point to most of the attraction or places in New York. Metro station...

Hi Pulkit, Thank you for taking time to give us your review. As many have noted, our location in NYC is top notch - you would be hard pressed to be in a better location for getting around town to major sights and also places off the beaten path. We always try to offer a good deal for NYC, and...

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
