Went on a solo trip to NYC for 5 days/4 nights and needed a cheap place to stay. Having never been to the UWS, and this hotel was affordable, I went for it. Reading other reviews on here I had some trepidation but the most important factor was that it was clean, one of my big worries in *any* hotel....

We stayed at the Broadway Hotel and Hostel from 24 May to 30 June. We stayed in a queen size room with ensuite bathroom. The room and bathroom are small. Housekeeping did a great service, our room was made up every day and we got clean linen and towels. The staff at the hotel were really efficient and helpful. There...

We stayed there for 7 nights. Locations is good for Manhattan as well as the price. It is almost impossible to find cheaper, nicer and better located rooms in Manhattan. At the beginning I was not sure about not having a bathroom inside the room but the price was good enough to convince me. The staff at the reception is...

We had a very bad experience in this hostel. We had not expected any kind of luxury, but our double room with shared badroom on the third floor (room 322 if I remember correctly) was disappointing. The paper basket still contained trash from the previous guests. The smell in the hallway was gross and it seemed to come from the...

We were exhausted when we got to the hotel and just wanted a comfortable room. Without us asking Maggie the amazing girl that she is upgraded us to a room with a private bathroom. We cannot praise her enough! Not only was she super nice and friendly, but she made our experience at broadway hotel that much better :)

I have stayed at the Broadway twice and loved it. Homely, polite staff - yes Maggie is an angel, and close to the Subway at 103rd Street. Located on Manhattan's beautiful Upper West Side, it is the perfect choice for those of you travelling on a budget. I will be back.

I had a private room w bathroom on the 7th floor for a few nights. 7th floor is top floor and quieter than the others- hotter too but the AC worked well. It's pretty good for a hostel/hotel. It's clean ( which is saying something for the other NY hostels I've stayed in) and the rooms have been painted in...

Finished my 3 week travelling trip of the east coast here and i am glad i did. Rooms were very clean and comfortable for a hostel and there were numerous bathroom facilities on the floor. They offered a bag hold for a small fee and breakfast was included which was a drink and either cereal or a muffin. spacious and...

This hostel was clean enough, the rooms had two bunks and nothing else. No atmosphere, no drinking allowed, no real activities except one pub crawl. the common room showed movies but the kitchen had very average facilities. All in all it was an ok bed, clean bathrooms and very near the subway.

The hotel itself is pretty cheap, clean and quite. For me everything was perfect except two things: The Internet is only on first floor in shared area, not on your room. The service is turning off the climatization, when you are not there, that means, that you are going to the real hell ...
