We wanted to stay mid-city, near Times Square and theaters, couldn't have done better. Very spacious one-bedroom apartments with modern interior. We were only staying one night, so didn't actually get to use much of the kitchen or the living room area, but it was nice to have so much space. Could have done cooking right there. Having separate bedroom...

Great base for exploring the New York highlights ...just a couple of minutes away from Times Square. Basic but comfortable facilities...and staff are responsive. Unfortunately there were some repairs or renovation going on while we there and the noise was disturbing. Nice lounge on top. Would stay again just for the convenient location. Walking distance from most Broadway show places...

We stayed here with the family for Christmas. There was 5 of us in a 2 bedroom apartment. The facility is very minimal, with no extras. The room did have a kitchen but no restuarant or room service at hotel. Beds were on the mediocre side, very stiff. The hotel did run out of hot water for a few hours...

We stayed here in November 2016 and absolutely loved it. The apartment was lovely and spacious and the staff were so helpful, nothing was too much of a trouble for them. Great suggestions for things to do and the best way to get there. Even though the apartments are in the centre of midtown there is a wonderful peaceful getaway...

All of the AKA locations are nice, with clean, well-appointed rooms and responsive staff. While it is my least-favorite area of Manhattan, business often draws me to Midtown near Rockefeller Center and Times Square. With astonishingly large and quiet rooms, AKA Times Square is my new go-to hotel.

We had a great time in NYC, and AKA was a great choice. Convenient location - both Bryant Park and Times Sq stations were within walking distance. It's slightly off the hustle and bustle of Times Square but that's a good thing. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was modern, comfortable and pretty well equipped. The only issue (which...

Fantastic apartments. I, my husband, children and grandchild spent 5 nights here. We rented a 2 bed apartment and that was OK. We had an extra bed in the livingroom, no problem. The beds were perfect and my husband did not have any problems with the pillow, which he normally has at most other hotels. Perfect accommodation having children you....

The apartment building is in a great location just off Times Square meaning everything is close by but the apartment we were in was extremely quiet. The apartment itself was really spacious and had everything we needed for a few days, it really was a home from home. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, the only minor negative...

My husband and I stayed here in a 1 bedroom apartment for 2 weeks back in March and it was fabulous. Great location, being right in Times Square, and very spacious. They contacted me a few weeks before we had even left Australia to see if we wanted to put in a grocery order - we did - and it...

I booked 2 x 1 bed apartments which were very spacious, clean and modern - everything you need. The most comfortable bed and the best pillows I have ever slept on. We love NYC and will definitely be returning and booking AKA - we have been a few times and this is the best accommodation we have used. Perfect location,...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
