We came to NYC for the Hillsong conference. At the time of booking this was the best location and the best price. My husband and I like to walk but don't like to get lost :) and this location was perfect as we were so close to avenue of the Americas which was the central street for all of the...

After searching the web for the cheapest Hotel in the chelsea area this was the one. We have stayed in the area many times before at different hotels and the room size at the Holiday Inn Express was just like all the others. Small...no big deal its NYC. It's a very typical New York hotel- there isn't a lot of gloss, it's not luxury, and the rooms are fairly small BUT it is in the best location, it's close to everything, the staff were helpful and there was a minimal fuss about the hotel that I really liked. We only stayed for one night, and it was perfect...

When I entered the lobby, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I had just spend the day running around New York City and was very tired. The confortable atmosphere of the hotel was very welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean. Soft music was playing when I entered the room and made me feel at home.

The front desk staff was so warmly helpful and the room was fine. There's a very comfortable outdoor seating area with sun and shade for prime people-watching. Fantastic location in Chelsea, convenient to everything and everywhere. Very reasonably priced. Good A/C and water pressure.

Great location for Empire State Building, Times Square and several Metro lines. This is not a swanky hotel but as we were only using it as a base it was more than ok. Has a good restaurant and bar, but if you prefer there are lots of local places you can use. The room had plenty of space for clothes...

Stayed in August 2013.This hotel is in an excellent location, a few blocks from the Empire State building and Flatiron, also easy walking distance of Greenwich village and Times square. The room was comfortable and clean, we had breakfast included and got bored with choice of eggs or pancakes but you can have something else from the breakfast menu up...

I read the other reviews about the small room size and the slow elevators, and went in expecting the worst. However, the room size, while certainly not spacious, was certainly adequate for my wife, teenager and me. We didn't spend a lot of time hanging out in the room of course, that's not why you are in NYC. And our...

My Wife and I stayed here for New Years 2013. This Hotel is Nicely Located within walking distance of Subways, Times Square, & the Empire State Building...(We even walked to the Twin Towers). There were 4 of us - 2 moms & 2 daughters in August 2013. You pay a lot of money for a small room & even smaller bathroom, but if you don't plan on staying in the room does it matter? The tips say to get a room with a view of the Empire State Building, but all rooms with...

Hi desilady1 - Thank you for sharing your experience with the world! We appreciate all feedback. We certainly do offer rooms with two beds above the 15th floor. In fact, all of our 25 floors have a mixture of both king sized beds as well as two double beds. I am sorry you were not able to enjoy the close...
