The location in Chinatown is great, but it's the only good thing about this hotel. It would be ok if it cost 10$/night, but it doesn't. Look elsewhere. The rooms are very small, and you can hear anything what your neighbors do. Wifi doesn't work properly. Shared bathrooms are dirty.

I booked this hotel because it was dirt cheap (for New York) and I thought I could handle anything. Dirty was the key word. The bathrooms were gross, the rooms were gross and the staff was rude and far from even the least bit helpful. The walls and doors looked liked they'd never been wiped down and there was some...

Chinatown is so dirty and this hotel is a clear example. Rooms only has space for the bed, not space to open a luggage. No Serivce of clean the room. Shared toilet are only cleaned twice a day, at 10AM and at 4PM. Smell as a gym, swear,,,,,, Plan your trip with time and try to not stay here.

I know this place is cheap for New York...but it is not worth $1 per night... The rooms are dirty the linen has stains and stinks. There are cat litter boxes all over. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE!!! The toilets and showers a total disgrace...I am shocked that the health department has not closed this "shelter" down.

This Sun Birght Hotel is the worst hostel I've ever been to. I only booked to stay 2 nights because my friends (we went together) booked it before I did and I did not read the review. I was so disgusted to find out that this place is some sort of shelter for homeless people or low revenue, some even...

Wow. This place is terrible. The website shows the nice(er) rooms located on the second floor. However the single 'semi private' rooms are on the 5th floor. I guess the cage ceiling is what makes it a semi private room. The rooms look and feel like a low security prison. The only upside is the wifi which only works half...

great location, free wifi and Internet connection, avarage service, SMALL ROOMS with poor bathrooms, there are about 20 rooms and only 3 bathrooms available so you may wait to get to the washroom, the walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbours talking/laughing etc

This hotel is great if you just need a place to sleep and store your luggage. The nightlife in Little Italy is very nice and only a block and a half down the street. It is great for younger adults who dont care about the extra luxuries. Best of all, NO BED BUGS!

Stayed in the dorm for two nights and must say it was NOT the worst experience I ever had. OK, it was tiny but everything was clean - surprisingly even the bathrooms were 'quite alright'. On top of this they had a working free WiFi. Don't misunderstand me - it is clearly not a place to spend a honeymoon but...

I got a shock when I got there, but later realised that I should not have been - they are pretty honest on their website. I felt I had walked into a prison. But no one get you a cheaper place than that in New York. I mean about 75 rooms on the 5th floor have 5 restrooms!! What happens...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
