Had a very good impression when I first arrived. There was a very strong smell of what seems to be old perfume or body spray, in the bed when I settled for the night. To my dismay, I immediately noticed that the bed sheets and pillow cases were dirty and wrinkled . There were also hair on the sheets. It...

Unfortunately, New York is horrendously expensive. This hotel is completely acceptable for a reasonable price. It is clean, well located unless you will spend all of your time above Time Square, and quiet. Some rooms have a view of the East River. The Seaport area is being redeveloped and there are a number of bars and restaurants just outside the...

For my first visit to New York City, on the way overseas, I wanted to get as much view and location as I could. I went alone, so I was also interested in a place where I felt safe. The staff was excellent. They were cheerful and helpful when I had a disaster with my laptop and helped me get...

Stayed for 1 night on a business trip. The room was clean and its size was actually quite good for New York, compared to other hotels I stayed at in lower Manhattan. My room had no view. Check-in took some time as I had a voucher, but staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was somewhat lacking, however. I do like...

Fine place, nicely sized rooms, many with excellent views out over the East River, the South Street Seaport, and the Brooklyn Bridge. Rooms on the top two floors have large outdoor terraces, with excellent views. Rooms also have small (and empty) refrigerators, for storing your own items. The morning breakfast, included in room rate, is fine, and a number of...

It was my first time in NYC amd the main reasons I booked this hotel were 1.Dog friendly and 2. Location. The hotel is dog friendly! *Please keep this in mind if you don't like dogs* There's not really a green space or anywhere for the dogs to potty just a few trees around the hotel that do the trick....

The hotel was clean and pest-free. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The location is great--lost of restaurants and access to buses and the subway. I have stayed there for many years and it has always been a "home away from home."Recommend it.

This hotel is in an older building that has been updated. The location is great! It is only a few blocks from the Fulton subway station. It is also within easy walking distance to One World Trade Center, Battery Park where you catch the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and the Staton Island Ferry. The breakfast is the normal...

Nice location, nice rooms, good breakfast, wonderful staff. However, hotel is no longer the bargain it had been, and it's closing soon for several months for renovation. When we stayed, it was the only hotel in the area not devastated by recent storm, and nothing else was available. We loved everything about it, especially $10 parking. Now, several more have...

If you are wanting to avoid the hassle of finding breakfast each morning, then this is a great option. The hotel overall is clean and satisfactory. The lobby staff need a little training in being more informed and helpful but the cleaning staff were excellent. Our bed needed updating to allow for a night's sleep where one isn't holding on...
