At approx €300 a night ( That's 6 times what I paid for a hotel for Berlin marathon for example) it's difficult to say any hotel can offer value for money but such is the laws of supply and demand. The rooms were a little small but modern and well appointed with a very comfy bed for a relaxing much needed sleep. The rooms were turned up every day with complimentary water and (decent) coffee. There were snacks , drinks and microwave available at reception and coffee available in the mornings. There were usually at least 2 people on reception who were helpful and courteous. The location is well positioned downtown for staten island ferry, broklyn bridge and the world trade centre area. There's a nice market a street away and it's close to Fulton street subway.
I'm not sure why it's necessary to charge a security deposit on check in. (It gets refunded but it's still a bit of a pain). Considering a lot of people were booked in for the marathon there could have been more signage or general awareness of it around the hotel. It was an OK stay. If I had to stay downtown again I would consider it

My wife, son (6 years old) and I had been visiting family in New Jersey and decided to take the Seastreak ferry into Manhattan. We got off the ferry at the Wall Street pier and it was only about a 10 minute walk to the hotel. We requested early check in and late check out with our Titanium status and the room was ready before 9 am! We were also granted a 4 pm check out on a Tuesday and our Suite Upgrade cleared two days prior!!!!
It was nice to have the extra space in the larger room with our son. While we didn’t spend a ton of time at the property, it was nice for us to not have to sit on the bed while in the room. Our room was pretty much what the photos show, so I did not include extra pics.
The hotel has a roof top bar that was cool to check out. I had one happy hour Vodka Tonic that set me back $12 and tip. The Chinese restaurant on the ground floor connected to the hotel was doing a refresh so they are closed for the next two weeks as of July 31. So unless you go to the rooftop, you do not have a bar or restaurant connected to the hotel.
I went next door to Henry’s Italian for dinner. Servings are large and it’s a 2 minute walk back to the hotel. I thought the menu was great. Had leftovers to bring home since the wife and kid wanted to relax in the room. The room did have a mini fridge and microwave to warm up the food with.
We got a great AAA rate and thought about staying at the AC hotel a few blocks away that we had enjoyed before, but the SNA upgrade not being available at the AC, and the good rate of $173 with tax included made this property a good value and we had a great stay!!!

Good hotel and if you can get a deal like I did then definitely one to consider. The big plus are the staff, so helpful and friendly. And then the room, whilst hotel rooms in New York are tiny I would say ours was above average size wise. It was clean and well maintained so no issues on cleanliness.
The location at first glance on arrival doesn't look great with all the construction nearby and the square out front often frequented by homeless people, but its really close to the Subway, the piers are nearby and WTC is about 7 mins walk, and we faced no hassle from anyone, it felt safe even at night on a weekend. We booked a room with two double beds. Decent rooms and convenient location. While bathroom storage is limited do NOT store any of your personal belongings under the sink on the shelf. Housekeeping threw away my Dyson Airwrap attachments. I understand mistakes happen. They were moving fast or they might have been under staffed during the holiday week, all understandable scenarios. My issue is that when management was made aware, Adam Martinez did not believe us. I do not believe he shares the Marriott philosophy or values Marriott Bonvoy Members. Due to his inability to solve customer service issues in an effective manner I would not recommend this location.

It's a 3* hotel and doesn't pretend to be anything else. However, rooms and linens are very clean, beds comfortable. The furniture is dated, but perfectly functional.
The only hotel I found in a reasonable price range that had twin DOUBLE beds, perfect for a family of 4 adults who don't want to share beds.
Great location for all the sightseeing in the southern Manhattan area, with excellent public transport links.

Manhattan is somewhere that’s been on my bucket list ever since I was a kid. I stayed here for 5 days, the first half was business and the second half was leisure. I have to say that this property played a big part in making my trip memorable and enjoyable. It’s located in the heart of the Financial District which makes the location highly convenient. Wall St is only a few blocks away, the train station is also within walking distance. A plethora of restaurants and shops can also be reached by foot. My favorite spot in this area would be the pier. Per recommendation by Dasia (reception), I went there one evening and ended up going almost every day of my trip. It’s a less than 10 min walk. It had a perfect view and several options for drinks/food as she had mentioned.
Dasia and the rest of the FD staff were incredible and some of the best I’ve encountered. I’ve worked in hospitality for several years and stayed in countless hotels, so I know what it takes. Each FD agent were friendly, professional, polite and very knowledgeable about the area and NY in general. I enjoyed chatting with Dasia, Ashley and Kevin in the mornings. And in the evenings I had the pleasure of speaking with Jessica and Akeyla.
Akeyla deserves a special shout-out. I love Japanese food, and asked her one evening for a restaurant recommendation. She asked which foods in particular I wanted, and diligently researched the local options for me. She told me to try Zutto Japanese Bar in Tribeca, and gave me very clear instructions/directions with the subway. (Which I greatly appreciated as I’m from Nashville where we have almost no public transport and drive everywhere). I loved the restaurant and even went back a second time.
This hotel is phenomenal and I will definitely stay here again next time I am in The Big Apple.

This hotel is a hidden gem, especially if you want to stay in the financial district. It is within a short walk to the Wall Street subway station as well as Fulton Street so you can get virtually anywhere the subway goes.
The rooms were large for a New York City hotel, meaning you can walk around the beds and adequately use the desk which is rare in most hotels in NYC. The staff is uniformly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
The AC worked great, which was much appreciated on 90F /90% humidity days in the summer. The room was quite for New York City.

I had a very poor experience staying here. Firstly, I arrived in the room upon check-in with wet towels on the sink and the carpet was stained with some white liquid — both of which I complained about to the concierge. They offered to change my room but they were only able to offer a smaller room than I currently had without offering a lower nightly rate so I refused.
The dispensers in the bathroom that were labelled “Shampoo”, “Body Wash” and “Conditioner” all had the same product. I had asked the concierge if it was supposedly like that and they said no so they had called up housekeeping to fix it. As the staff came in, I was told that they were all supposed to be the same. The inconsistency is unacceptable as well as the quality of the toiletries/products provided. Most hotels would at least have a separate conditioner.
On my second night, the heaters seemed to stop working so I was shivering all day. I had called to complain about it and they sent in an engineer to reset the system. The next day, it stopped working again. The shower took 5 minutes to heat up too. They had to call in the engineer almost everyday until I had grown tired of it and just slept in a cold room.
Lastly, there was hair in the cups that they provided in the bathroom. This is absolutely not the kind of service I was expecting from the hotel as I have stayed in previous Marriott properties with decent to excellent experiences. The poor hygiene is just also very unacceptable.

They were meant to have, but neither that or the bar was open when we were there.
Fear not, there are loads of eating places within 2 mins of the front door, including a traditional American diner.
The bar opposite is open till late.
Due to covid pandemic the hotel gym is closed and the amenities in the hotel are very limited.
