Here is the deal- if you want to stay close to it all on Broadway and you don't care about amenities you will be fine. The higher the floor the better the room. My co-workers were upgraded to the 7th floor and their rooms were bigger and nicer. I didn't get an upgrade or a nudge to write a review...

This is the perfect hotel for the travelers who are more interesting in experiencing the city rather than the hotel. The price is right — it doesn't have a lot of frills but the rooms are modern cozy and the bed is comfortable. Bring your ear plugs the hotel is just down from Times Square so the street noise lasts...

First of all the Amsterdam Court Hotel is not the Waldorf or the Ritz. What it is, is a reasonably priced comfortable hotel just minutes from Times Square, 30 Rock and Central Park. The hotel is in one of New York's typical 1930-40s era buildings that probably was quite grand in its day. You can still see the slightly worn...

For people who want to enjoy the city, not hotels. Comfortable beds and rooms, friendliness of all staff, three of main subway lines nearby (one block!) and the price is very good. One complain: WiFi.

Central location Close to many tourist attractions, areas and close to the subway In the middle of Broadway and theater district Friendly staff and prompt service Re: my room, was a bit small but for NY standards and price was great. The only downside was no desk in the room for working with my computer, and wifi is an add...

It's small but that just means it's cozy. Staff is great and location is great. That's why I keep coming back. Bobby at the front desk was VERY helpful. It's been 15 years that I keep coming back. That's worth something.

Young couple travelling to NYC for the first time- when we arrived at the hotel it was very easy to check in, no documents needed just ID and credit card. Room is rather basic however very comfortable for a 4 night stay. On our first day the lady at reception took time to explain maps and best ways to get...

I was happy with the hotel overall. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful and it was the best bed I have ever slept on! Also, the location is top notch. Room was very small. It is an old building but seems to be decently maintained. Bathroom was small and kind of crappy (just because the building is older), but...

I would not go back to this hotel...the staff was rude at check-in, plus, the process overall was not customer friendly, no heat in the room, staff not helpful! While the location is fine, there are plenty of other hotel options in NYC.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
