The Chelsea Inn was an absolute pleasure to stay in. We stayed for 6 nights, as part of a trip We'd had planned for a couple of months. It is perfectly located for those fit enough to walk to all of the attractions, and is...More
This is a small, pleasant hotel in Chelsea, close to Metro and Citibike stations. Chelsea Market and Highline in walking distance. Quite in the middle between ground zero and Central Park. Rooms are as shown onthephotos, small, typical NYC size, but very clean. Staff is...More

Anyone considering the Chelsea Inn should be warned that it is a walk-up with the top level on the fifth floor. There is no one to carry your luggage and the stairway is narrow only allowing one person so it is difficult to navigate the...More
Quaint and clean with a the New York noise in the back ground. The shared bathroom arrangement takes some getting use to but overall a nice hotel. Stairs to the 5th floor can be challenging so be ready for that.

Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was
home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
