The hotel will hold your luggage for sure. When I took a taxi from JFK, the fare was 58 dollars and few cents. The tolls were added onto the fare. But it may differ due to how the taxi driver gets you there.

There are different types of rooms available at different price points. Some without private bathrooms and some with for more money. Rooms with private baths seem to book faster.
