This was my 20th trip to NYC and I was meeting a friend from SFO who was experiencing the city for the first time. I chose this hotel as a centrally located base that was competitively priced. It really is in a perfect spot and offers great value for money. The rooms are some of the most generous I've experienced...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Beautifully appointed comfortable rooms. Superb beds and lovely people. We always choose The Roger Smith and each time we remember why we love it so much. The location is perfect for exploring New York. The hotel is such a great change from the anonymous corporate chains. Rooms are a generous size with great furnishings.

Loved the hotel. Everything was excellent and the staff was very nice and helpful. Centrally located, parking was a bit expensive but it is NYC so I guess I should have expected it. I would def. return to this hotel for another stay.

Great little hotel really close to Grand Central. Nice, spacious rooms... really spacious by New York standards. Bed was very comfortable. Son slept on the sofa bed and said it was fine. It has old fashioned decor, but that is part of the charm. Did not get to go to the rooftop bar, as it is only open in warmer...

Good location and enjoyed the complimentary yogurt bar. Design and style are in need of a makeover which could greatly improve the property. Value is where price meets quality and at 340 per night, the value equation is marginal. We stayed on the 5th floor and it was on the street noisy side.

Roger Smith staff, room, location, and price superb. I liked the feel of a 'non-chain,' Highly recommend it. I took my 18 year old to NYC for spring break and we both had a great time. Accessibility to Grand Central a bonus.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
