Attending conference at Apella on the east river and needed a nearby hotel. That area is not dense with hotels and I was glad to find one that would not be dreary corporate but not over the top boutique. Really nice high ceiling lobby, rooms size as one would expect for Manhattan, not big but well laid out. Lobby staff...

It's the first time that I have stayed at this hotel and from the minute they open the door and I walked through until the minute they open the door and I left it was nothing short of exceptional Friendly staff, clean and meticulous hotel in Rome, and very comfortable bed. I'll stay here again

Room was extremely warm, when I called front desk to complain they said it was central air so I couldn't hanger the temperature in my room. They suggested I turn off the fan so my room will cool. Walls are very thin and our neighbors kept us awake until 4am.

Grea hotel with nice, hip, clean rooms. The small desk was useful. Not too small. Breakfast a little expensive. Small gym was functional. Staff was extremely friendly. The wine hour is a nice touch. Would stay again.

We booked our reservation thru Mr & Mrs Smith and so we received complimentary drink coupons upon arrival. The hotel aesthetic is spot on, sophisticated yet intimate. The upstairs mezzanine was adorable and we enjoyed our drinks and soda fried chicken while overlooking the lobby. To be honest we made a mistake leaving the hotel for dinner.

Words cannot express how happy I was with my stay at this hotel. I will definitely be back. From the resplendent breakfast every morning to the well appointed housekeeping in front desk service, I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable stay particularly since I was inside sick with a cold for most of it!

Stayed overnight for a conference. Great find, location, super friendly staff and room was small but very clean and comfortable. The bar in the lobby was convenient for a drink and quick bite. I didn't know this property existed previously but will definitely be back!

Great unexpected little elevated boutique hotel. Cozy lobby bar. Nice space and decor and a really nice updated room. Great vibe in the space and the bartender made a great old fashioned! Only issue I had was there was a $31 facilities fee not included in the room price.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

This June, The Roger is unveiling a sophisticated new look after extensive renovations of its public spaces and guest rooms. Standing at the crossroads of uptown and downtown off Madison Park, the new Roger is a marriage of chic design and old world comfort, while continuing an unyielding commitment to superior service. The fresh aesthetic of the Roger’s public spaces is curated by hospitality guru Steven Kamali and designed by the notable Anna Busta. A collaboration of renowned talent has distinguished a transitional hotel that caters to the demands of the modern traveler and local tastemakers alike. The vaulted lobby lounge provides an ideal space for any time of day or occasion, from morning business meetings to lunch with family, or catching up over cocktails with friends. To update the spacious guest rooms, the Roger tapped Annette Jaffe of MSM, whose timeless original design has kept travelers returning year after year. Jaffe’s new rooms are characterized by lush custom pieces and applied moldings to naturally compliment the historic building’s unique rooms and inviting terraces. Whether for only a night or a weeks long stay, the Roger is the savvy traveler’s home away from home. ... more   less
