We stayed on the sixth floor facing 50th. The rooms were comfortable, large and clean. However, the noise from the street and the construction across the street would wake us up through out the night. This is a convenient location and the staff is friendly. I will likely stay here on my next visit to NYC, however, I would like...

My daughter and I recently stayed in an executive king suite. We got a great rate. The hotel is in a perfect location that made walking to Rock Center, Central Park and public transit very easy. The suite was large and clean, the public areas were very nice, business center with plenty of computers/printers for printing boarding passes. Nice continental...

Excellent service, very clean and they returned my ipad that I had left in the room. This kind of personal service is so rare these days and I truly appreciated the attentive staff and immaculate rooms. It was very quiet in the room, almost no street noise and the beds were comfortable. Most importantly, they treat customers very well. The...

We just returned from our one night mini-vacay from NYC, and I can't wait to write about our experience staying at the San Carlos Hotel. My husband I took our sons, age 3 and 1, to NYC for a weekend trip. We truly enjoyed the hotel from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. There are three main...

We decided to stay at the San Carlos after reading mostly favorable reviews on TripAdvisor. We had a 12th floor executive suite facing 50th avenue, from 13 to 19 September. Hotel location is OK, many restaurants at walking distance, 2 blocks away from subway station, lots of groceries stores nearby, friendly reception staff. Housekeeping is efficient. Free internet access, I...

Had a lovely stay at the San Carlos hotel in NYC from sept. 11th-17th. I stayedwith my mum and my sister and we were catered to in the best way by tentative employees of the hotel. The doormen both were true sweethearts, giving us plenty of attention when we came and left, as well as good tips for dinners etc....

Really enjoyed staying in this hotel. We were recommended it by friends who stayed here last year and we were not disappointed. The Location is relatively quiet and well placed with the subway nearby and central park, Rockefeller centre, times square and Grand Central all within walking distance. We stayed on the 11th floor and had a suite with a...

Pleasant experience from the time I checked in until check out. I stayed 2 nights and was there for business. It was during fashion week, so the hotel was full ( I only know this because some of my colleagues were trying unsuccessfully to stay there). It did not feel like there were a lot of people staying there so...

This is my 3rd stay in this hotel and the location is fabulous, very central, safe, with the subway and Grand Central Station around the corner . The size of the rooms is the big plus for me, a rarity in New York! The staff are very friendly and attentive. My only negative comment is in relation to breakfast. I...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
