I was there with my two sons last December. Great location in the middle of Manhattan. What you are interesting in, you can easy get walking. Subway is also near, any line. We'd like a room with a view of the Empire State Building, and we got a beautiful room with three beds (number 1116 on 7th floor). My bad...

This hotel is ideally located for sight seeing within easy walking distance of all the major attractions. Staff were friendly and very helpful. If you are looking for modern decor though this is not for you. However it is entirely in fitting with the art deco appearance of the hotel. On arriving we were upgraded to a larger room (3...

If you have a few days in NYC and you want a comfortable, clean, brilliantly located but not fancy hotel then this hotel is perfect. Dont expect frills just a decent stay. From check-in to check-out no fuss but no extra attention although did appreciate them keeping our bags aside after check-out without having to use the lockers. Build in...

The Empire state building is walking distance from the Hotel as are metro railway stations and varied restaurants in all price ranges. In the room the toilet flush did not work properly but it was attended to in very quick time. March was very cold outside in New York and though the room had adequate heating there was no way...

This hotel located in a great position and is very affordable considering you are in the middle of New York. The rooms are great if you have a view and are quite roomy, apart from the bathroom which is so small. The lobby is beautiful and they do offer complimentary muffins in the morning for breakfast. Staff were very nice...

I stay at The Wolcott sometimes as many as 3 times a year. There are certainly fancier hotels, but I really like The Wolcott. It's a good value, a great location just off Fifth Avenue and a couple of blocks downtown from The Empire State Building. Convenient to the subway, Macy's, 34th Street area shopping. I have found the front...

I recently stayed at the Wolcott Hotel while I was in town for the Surtex Show. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the hotel. I found my room to be very clean and large (I got an upgrade), the breakfast was very good, but most impressive, the service was excellent. The hotel is...

It was my second stay at the Hotel Wolcott and my boyfriend and I were very pleased again. We love to grab some Muffins and coffee in the morning in the lobby. The room was very nice and new furnished on an upper floor. I also once stayed in the Belvedere which also nice, but much more expensive. I would...

We have stayed at this hotel 6 or 7 times over the last few years and we have found it to be a great value. The rooms vary from smallish to two room suites depending on what they have available, some have interesting "character" however they have always been clean and functional. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful...

My wife and i recently stayed at the Wolcott hotel new york. This was our first visit to new york and the location was fantastic, just off 5th Ave. The hotel is a little dated but has character, the coffee and muffins in the morning are great, the reception were always helpful. We booked a junior suite and we were...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
