I stayed at this Hilton for a business trip to NYC. The good: location and staff The not so good, but not bad: older rooms, more of a standard hotel not luxurious at all. While I had tons of Hilton options I wanted a more quiet property, and Grand Central was perfect in that regard.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

After looking at very expensive hotels in NYC, I booked this Hilton on Priceline for a great price. And then I saw the TripAdvisor reviews and I was really concerned. Would our stay be horrible? It was a great weekend! We arrived late on Friday night and checked in. We had a floor on the 8th room. It was small,...

It was the worst stay ever I've stayed at hotels..There are so many problems in hotels. 1. The attitude when we check-in When we were check-in, and I said something, they totally didnt listen my words. It make me feel very rude. 2. Don't expect the benefit of diomond tier. Although there was room available to room upgrade(I checked the fact...

This old property located near the United Nations has small but clean rooms. I was surprised that the elevator didn't require room cards to use for safety reasons. When I researched this hotel online, I saw many pictures of a roof top terrace, which I found out when staying here was only for the use of the pent house room...

I have stayed in this hotel in the past which I found to be decent but this time had cold shower. I informed the reception and same thing happened the next day. Was very upset with no solving the issue. So basic.

Dirty, smelly, small rooms - old hotel - not up to Hilton standards. I've stayed at many Hiltons and this was one of the worst ones. For the price it should have been much better. Choose another hotel.

We stayed here on a Saturday night. We'd picked the hotel because of proximity to family. The room size was excellent for NY; we'd paid for a room with a balcony, and it was nice to sit outside on Sunday morning. Also nice to see the surrounding Tudor City buildings, and a sliver of the East River. But the maintenance...

This is a very old hotel that needs a whole bunch of updates: no warm shower in the morning, power outlets turn off, when you turn out light, internet connection shaky, interior outdated. However, The staff is super friendly.

Good points - close to Grand Central, staff are super helpful, quite reasonably priced for NYC. Bad points - room small - typical for NYC, air con incredibly noisy - kept making this bang noise every 5 mins, sound proofing not great. I'd probably stay here again.

Having read many reviews of how small New York hotel rooms are, it was a pleasant surprise to stay in room 602 at this hotel which was a very decent size. With dual aspect windows overlooking the UN building, it's a 10 minute walk to Grand Central station and Chrysler building which means it is a great location. The mini...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
