I travel monthly for business and typically stay at another nearby hotel that I love. Since joining the Hilton Honors program, I decided to stay at a Hilton this time around and earn points. To my disappointment, this Hilton was nothing like I would expect of a Hilton business hotel. The restaurant was closed for remodeling so I had to...

Dear Carmen U, I do want to thank you for providing your feedback about our property. Your feedback is essential in improving the overall quality of our service and our product. It has become tradition for my mother and I to come to New York the weekend after Thanksgiving and--if possible--we stay at the Hilton Manhattan East. Despite the fact that we only visit once a year, we're often greeted by familiar faces and welcomed back like old friends by the doormen and front desk staff. This year's visit couldn't have...

I've been a loyal Hilton Honors guest in hotels around the world for more than 20 years, and found this little boutique-type hotel an unexpected but lovely surprise. The Manhattan East is an historic building, beautifully renovated, in a surprisingly quiet setting just a few blocks from Times Square and midtown shopping. Each employee provided personalized attention to every detail...

It's been 2 years since my first review of this "hotel," so I thought that I'd give it another go. The +'s) Small size property, quiet/good size room, comfortable bed, lots of hot water, location. The -'s) No room service, very expensive/mediocre breakfast, charge for weak WiFi, furniture in room stained/tattered and torn, broken bath fixtures, anemic water pressure, lack...

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Jose the doorman was especially great. He made getting a cab in such a busy place very easy. I have visited this hotel in October 2014. Shortly after my arrival the restaurant was closed for refurbishment. Some of my observations, however, do not relate to the refurbishment and require improvement. The dishes had traces of fat or detergent, some even had visible particles of uncleaned stains from the previous meal (see photos attached). After I pointed this out...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
