A gem! Nothing could have been better during our stay. The hotel has an old-world charm and welcoming staff. In fact, every member of the staff was warm and welcoming, no weak link anywhere!! The attention to detail was second to none: For example, when making the reservation, you can choose to have features such as a feathered topper. We... More

It seems that this is a favorite for many repeat visitors. I can see why. This is a very nice property with a friendly helpful staff. The rooms are comfortable and conventional, but nice. There are at least five rooms with balconies, which would be very nice in warmer weather. The second floor is public space for coffee, tea, breakfast... More

The Hotel Elysee was a superb experience -- charming, intimate -- quiet -- so convenient to everything -- the staff is amazing -- the suite served our needs perfectly. We will be back in April 2017!!!

This has been my hotel of choice in Manhattan for a number of years. I have been a guest on other occasions at the Ritz, the Peninsula, and The St. Regis, to name a few. But I prefer to stay at the Elysee. They welcome you back like an old friend,; it is intimate and the staff could not be... More

Everything at the Hotel Elysee is top notch; courteous and helpful staff, wonderful food and very lovely rooms. I normally give 5 stars to this hotel but our only complaint would be that since our upgraded room faced the street, we were up at 5 am due to the noise of delivery trucks and such. We will definitely return but... More

The hotel Elysee is perfectly located in Manhattan between Madison and 5th avenue, near to the theater district, Central Park, shopping, Grand Central etc. It is a touch of small European hotel on the midst of the bustle of New York- a very pleasant change from the big name brand hotels in the area!! Rooms are well worn, but clean... More

We travel to NYC once a year and always stay at the Elysee. The location is great and the library/breakfast room has the feel of a private club. The staff is lovely. This small hotel has a European feel and we love it.

Classy hotel. Wonderful guest lounge with great wine hour and breakfast! Clean, comfortable room. Helpful friendly staff. Reasonable valet parking. Highly recommended for a short city stay. A bit close to Trump Tower, which can mean traffic and inconvenience....

This hotel was recommended by a friend who has occasion to be in NYC several times a year, and always stays here. It's charming, with wonderfully helpful staff and a great location; it's a pleasant walking distance to Fifth Avenue and all its iconic shops (Tiffany & Co., Valentino, and the like), as well as P.J. Clarke's, Broadway, Madison Avenue,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
