Average hotel. Maintenance -- Quick response when called re issue with shower draining. Bell hop - I left the hotel 5x and never found someone to assist with getting a cab. Thin walls - If you're a light sleeper, you might want to avoid this hotel. Housekeeping issues - after cleaning, glove left in room; items found under bed (sock--not...

We had a great stay at the Watson. Location is close to Times Square and many subway stops, lots of restaurants outside. Very quiet at night for New York. Comfy beds, large rooms and friendly staff. Rooms cleaned each day too. Only downside for me was small bathroom and no curtains, just blinds. I think people have been a little...

Absolutely amazing staff, extremely well trained, helpful and accommodating. Rooms seem to have been recently remodeled, above expectations. Wish they had a microwave/small fridge and I had to ask for extra hangers and things. Only two elevators were working, which is not enough as they often have large groups. The hallways are in desperate need of a makeover. Very good...

Former holiday inn, this property is really basic. Rooms are great and renewed. Lobby and hallways are really dated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice area, just a bit far from trains. Overall, a nice stay!

We stayed at this hotel in March 2017 for 4 days . A very bad experience unfortunately ! The room was very dirty , the staff is horrible ! Just don't go there ! There are many other hotels far better than this one in the same area and in the same price range !

The hotel rooms are of average size...which is bigger than many in NYC but the rooms are dated and somewhat worn. We received a room that smelled of smoke and the staff quickly gave us a different room. The restaurant is quite mediocre, so go around the corner to Route 66 cafe or elsewhere.

Hello Brassmat, Thank you for sharing your comments about your stay. I am so sorry to know that the previous guest decided to break the law by smoking in a non-smoking building. It saddens me to know that people are so inconsiderate of others. I am glad we were able to accommodate you to a more pleasant room. We hope...

We were very pleasantly surprised by a moderately priced, clean, modern room with a nice (vibrant!) bar downstairs and very attentive services (maid, concierge, front desk, bellman). Great location close to the subway (not like everyplace isn't?) and good (local) restaurants in Hell's Kitchen. Easy walking distance to Columbus Circle, Times Square, Theatre district.

We stayed 4 nights prior to and after a trip to Miami. My first time in New York and I wasn't disappointed Its well placed in the Hells Kitchen area, 10 minutes from Times Square & Broadway, 10 minutes from Central Park, loads of shopping, restaurants, bars and cafes close by. Previously the Holiday inn, the Watson is a big...

Hello GillyB21, Thank you for sharing such a detailed and wonderful review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed both stays. I agree with you, the higher the floor, the better the views. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
