Hotel is nice enough if only staying for business trips. But for a family on vacation the rooms are quite basic for what you're paying for. Cleaning staff are by far the nicest and always kept the room impeccable. Definitely needs free wifi, must be making a mint off customers paying daily. If the hotel made a few adjustments it...

While you found the rooms clean and fine for a business trip, I was surprised that you felt not perfect for families. Unfortunately, I can not tell what type of room you had, we do have very large rooms, perfect for large famlies. Our great indoor pool on top of the building is a great attraction why famlies choose the...

Despite what you see on the website about the rooms, don't believe it! We saw no point in engaging in conversation with the reluctant staff and ended up moving after the first night to a much superior and honest hotel. We only stayed the night because our travel agent couldn't do anything sooner. The rooms are poorly equipped (not even...

I am sorry you were not pleased with the accomadations. Unfortunately, the room you were given, was one of two rooms on your floor that did not have the furniture redone. We had a extensive project over the last two weeks and both the rooms on that floor were occupied, not allowing the furniture project. However, I do take exception...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

If you ask for a room with a view they will give you a front facing room which you can see the empire state in the distance.I went there with my sister in law and my 16 year old son and we loved the hotel, the pool is great to after a long days sightseeing and the bar does happy hour from 3 to 7 and is very good value .the deli across the road was a favourite place of my sons, enjoy your trip.

my son and I walked there from the train station. Picked up some food to go around 9pm from the deli across the street and had an early morning breakfast sitting at the outside tables of the attached Mexican restaurant. W e never felt unsafe. It's several blocks off the tourist type areas so if you are not comfortable in big cities you might want to get a taxi instead of walking.

I used the conciierge for my visit to Radio city hall for the xmas spectacular no extra charge and got us good seats. The subway is a easy and cheap way of getting around but you can walk to practically all the attractions from the Skyline Hotel
