I stayed on the 7th floor for three nights. Location is great but that's where the accolades end on this hotel . My room was old and tired. Nothing inviting about the room whatsoever. Bathroom had a third rate caulking job, broken tile, and when I turned the basin water on it sounded like the Queen Mary was sounding her... More

Enormous room. I mean really big room by any standards, but palatial by Manhattan standards Friendly staff. Quiet location yet by everything! Perfect. If you're finicky about up to date fancy decor, this is not for you- but you're missing out. I'd totally stay again and have told everyone I know about this gem. We even could take home leftovers,... Older Hotel with large rooms (we had suite on 11th floor). Clean with kitchenette. Away from all of the noise of Time Square but close to Central Park and Subway. Deli and souvenir shop, as well as Church next door. Working ACs but a tad stuffy at night. Could have left windows open but no screens or protection and was... More

My room was enormous in comparison to other NY hotels: two queen beds, a separate dining space and kitchenette (microwave, fridge and coffee maker), bathroom with a tub and shower over the tub. Yes, it's dated, but it has character and traditional New York style. Within walking distance of Central Park and Times Square and more. If you are planning... More

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights while I was in NYC for the marathon. The hotel staff, especially Nick, were courteous and helpful and professional. The check in process was very quick and hassle free. The hotel itself is older, and it shows. It was however very clean. There was faulty wiring in our room in one... More

Spent 7 nights at this centrally located hotel in Manhattan. It was so easy to see all the fantastic sights of New York. The hotel although a little dated in decor, had all the facilities we needed. Our room had two large double beds, a microwave, coffee machine in a small kitchenette area. The room was cleaned daily and all... More

The hotel is situated on 57th street. A busy street close to all the top shop names. It's two blocks away from Central Park and at the top of the block (west side) is Broadway. The location is ideal!! The rooms are very spacious with everything you need - small kitchen with fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Two very comfortable... More

This hotel is a hidden gem! The reviews you read here are very accurate! Upon check in, our 1 bedroom suite wasn't ready yet, as it was still early. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite, which was HUGE! Enormous living room, dining area, efficiency kitchen, 2 full baths and 2 large bedrooms. The walk in closets were bigger... More

We had a nice room on an upper floor, king bed with sofa, very roomy for NY. There were only 2 small elevators but not a huge problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the location, very close to restaurants, subway, Times Square, and theater district.

Stayed 3 nights in October 2016 with family, 6 people two rooms. The hotel is very well situated for a tourist stay and children can be in parents room. But that is all you can say about the hotel. For the rest it is definitely poor. Carpets are dirty and haven't been cleaned beyond a summary vacuum in probably years.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
