Very well located, super clean, luxurious but not pompous. This hotel was a great find. Easy public transportation from LGA and JFK and from the front door to the subway. Good breakfast at the on premises restaurant, good facilities. The best part was the staff, and specially the front desk staff. They were friendly, informative, and professional.

We all know that New York hotel rooms are small but squeezing x2 doubles into a room barely big enough for 1 seems a bit crazy especially if it comes at the expense of leaving nowhere to put your suitcase or enough space to store your clothes. I sometimes wonder if hotel room designers ever stay in hotels themselves, perhaps if they did they'd see the error of their ways. Luckily we weren't planning on hanging around in the room during our short trip and the location is very good for a number of metro lines.
The room was very clean and the tiny bathroom had a good shower and nice towels. We had a view to the street which was noisy but we had earplugs.
Check-in was efficient, and front desk staff helpful across the stay. Roomrate included grab and go breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt and croissants and a very decent cup of coffee.
It advertises a bar but turns out its not owned/run by the hotel and we never managed to gain access as it was either closed for a private event or just shut so that felt a bit misleading and we wanted to have a drink. It ain't cheap but it seems nothing is in NYC these days so compared to other hotels the price seemed about average for somewhere clean to lay your head.

Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to write a review. Our bar Primo's is currently open on Tuesday to Saturday; unfortunately on one of your nights here it was closed for a private event. We also have the Serafina restaurant adjacent to the lobby, which has a full bar open every night. Please feel free to reach out directly for any future travel plans so we can recommend a room more suited to your needs.

The Frederick had a cozy and cool vintage vibe about it that drew me in. The decor was phenomenal (especially loved the look of the bathroom sink/map of Tribeca on the tile walls). The bed was incredibly soft, and they had a minibar fridge fully stocked as well. We were there for just a night, so the slightly smaller room wasn't much of an issue, but the view from the room was fantastic. The staff was very welcoming and quick with check-in and check-out (they even offered complimentary wine when we first arrived). Would definitely stay again!

This is a find; perfectly situated to public transportation (subway is right out the door and the express stops there taking you to Penn Station and Times Square in mere minutes) and with the right amount of service and attention, economy and intimate luxury. It reminded me of a boutique hotel in London and if you're not looking for big expansive rooms (who stays in their hotel all day when you have New York City at your feet anyway??), this is the place to stay. I couldn't believe the room rates particularly considering the location, in the heart of the hip and happening neighborhood of Tribecca and just a ten minute walk to the Freedom Tower in one direction and Soho and chic and fun shopping in the other. One drawback - there was no luggage rack (they said they were on order for next week so that's a good thing) and the bathroom though nice decked out is small (but for me being 5'4" was fine) and the temperature dial on the shower was a little tricky. My stay was quiet and appropriately dark at night (great heavy curtains in the room). I would stay here again in a New York minute and if you're a party of one or two, this is THE best combo of economy, location and comfort!

The hotel beautifully combines the structure of an older building with thoroughly updated rooms and public spaces. The rooms are not large, but they are exceptionally well designed, with very comfortable and modern beds and bedding, towels, and bathroom amenities. The staff is superb, friendly, extremely helpful, patient in answering our questions and accommodating our requests. We enjoyed the neighborhood thoroughly--very close to Battery Park, a few blocks from the stunning Hudson River Park, lots of restaurants, including a Starbucks next to the hotel, a Pain Quotidien a half a block away and a Zuckers Bagels around the corner on Chambers Street. I highly recommend it!!

I stayed for 6 nights in New York to explore the city and visit some friends. This hotel lays in lower Manhattan in the area of Tribeca which is close to the Hudson River. Its a nice area of Manhattan and you can walk everywhere by foot. I loved the hotel , the design, interior and friendly staff. I was living in a deluxe room so it was nice and spacious. I only give 4 stars because of the breakfast, it was not included in the price, and the price it quite high, and also the quality of the breakfast in the attached restaurant Serafin was also not great. The dinner instead was delicious in the Italian restaurant Serafin. I can recommend to stay here while you are in New York!

The Frederick is 1/2 block from an easy subway directly uptown. Its rooms are small, thoughtfully designed, quiet, and spotlessly maintained. The staff is friendly and engaged. The room rate is quite reasonable when compared to other properties, and promotions are offered frequently. Take advantage of one!

I stayed here with my family of 4 people in the 2 double-bed room. The best part of the hotel was its convenience and location to the subway (just a few steps away). There is a Starbucks on the same block and a convenience store and Whole Foods nearby if you need snacks. It is within walking distance to the financial district and the Occular (1 World Trade Centre). The complimentary breakfasts were excellent: croissants, fruit, yogurt, and coffee.

Although the room was small in my first impression after walking in, the room did not feel small as the visit progressed. The room was well designed with attention to detail: Frette towels, robes, and slippers; complimentary water and continental breakfast; free walking tour of the Tribeca neighborhood. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We were on the tour with some staff of the hotel. The Senior Guest Experience Manager later gifted us a bottle of wine - a lovely surprise and attention to detail.

I would like to thank all the team at the frederick for make our stay a wonderful long weekend to remember in Manhattan. Specially thanks to Chris from the front desk that has been there to support in everything we need during our stay. The location is unbeatable walking distance from a lot of nice areas to visit and we had an incredible rest during nights without noises or other inconvenience that you could find in other Hotels, everything was very clean in a modern style rooms. The only area of improvement if any is the agreement they have with the restaurant close to the hotel for breakfasts, very caothic in the mornings, on the other hand the room service at nights works perfectly well. Thanks to the whole team for a great work. We will come back.

This hotel feels like the setting of a Truman Capote novel. The corridors are narrow and dark and the whole place has a mid-century atmosphere of dark green walls, brown carpet and yellow light. We looked at three rooms. One was so small that there was no room even for a suitcase. One smelled peculiar. We chose the third. This deluxe room could take our suitcase once we cleared the writing desk and used it as a luggage stand. It had no natural light and a grim murder-scene vibe. But it would be hard to do anything too dastardly, as everything in one room can be heard next door! There were no tea or coffee facilities and the mini-bar was sealed shut. On a positive note, the air conditioner worked (though a slowly rotating ceiling fan would have better matched the mood) and the staff were, on the whole, pretty friendly.

Hello, We are located right in front of the Chambers St Train Station and you can take either the 1,2, or 3 train to Time Square. If you are going to be travelling a lot via subway, I would recommend purchasing the weekly pass. If not, you can pay as you go.
