I had to write this - I know it's a little late. This hotel was the worst. They sent my bags to New Jersey with some family...which was fine, we all make mistakes. But, the way they handled it was so bad. This made us miss our flight, and they did not offer to give us a free night (because...

We chose this hotel purely for the rates, which are really low by NY standards. The rooms are very small, the elevator is slow and there's no hotel restaurant - but for the money we paid there's really no reason to complain. It's clean, safe and the staff - who may not be the friendliest people - are efficient in...

We stayed in Cosmopolitan for 10 days in april/may. Check in was easy, staff kind and helpfull. Rooms are nice and clean, roomy and comfy. Bathroom is small but you have everything you need. The pipes don't make any noise. After about four/five days the cleaning lady also left in our room an iron and desk which was very kind...

So happy to find this hotel! The hotel was very clean. It is a convenient location. It is a reasonable price. We will stay here everytime from now on. We stayed in a junior double - i would suggest springing for a larger room. We will try the mini-loft next time. If you are by yourself a junior double would...

Our room was excellent for our family of 5 (2 comfortable queen beds and a pull-out), roomy with high ceilings (room 305). Extremely clean, as we had read in other reviews, and it was very quiet. The location was great, having a subway stop right out the door, and it was a nice neighbourhood to escape to each night away...

Hotel is extremely clean and well kept. Bathroom fixtures are state of the art, and beautiful. Very large rooms, high ceilings. (Room 205). Great hotel staff - very friendly and helpful. Has an ice cream parlor, and cafe resturant, both excellent. Very close to subway entrance, (right outside the side door) and bus stops.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
