Be forwarned thatChambers Street is under construction for blocks. There was deafining construction noise one night that lasted until 2 am. I realize that this isn't the Hotel's fault but if you are a lite sleeper I would suggest another place to stay. the room was small but clean and there is no central air-conditioning. The staff was polite I...

This is a charming, cozy hotel with a great location in Tribeca. It is very European-styled, and you will see many Europeans staying here due to that spartan style and very reasonable rates. You should know that the rooms are small (ours was 12x15ft) with only basic amenities. Ours had 2 double beds, so no room for a chair. There...

Hello fellow business travelers, If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay in the Financial District of NYC, this hotel is certainly great as far as price is concerned. Be forewarned, though, that the hotel is one of the oldest in NYC. It's obvious when you find out that all rooms are centrally controlled with no temperature gauges...

Got a good deal on one-night stay (live close enough to visit NYC frequently) from being on their mailing list. Winter especially good time for this. This was first time at Cosmopolitan -- loved it. Location is great for downtown exploration - walking distance to WTC Memorial, Brooklyn Bridge, SoHo, Battery Park, South Street Seaport, and also to West Village,...

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious and the cleaning staff was so on top of things. The front desk staff as well was the friendliest I've ever seen- always willing to answer questions and often went out of their way to help us out. Perfect location as well. Right across the street from three...

Other travellers have already mentionned the qualities of this hotel. Good location, many (cheap) eateries and a few bars close by. Not too expensive. The subway and bus stop right below and nearby. This hotel is very nice. Our room was small but more than sufficient for a one night stay. Nicely decorated, clean and the bed was comfy. The location is really great. Plenty of bars and restaurants within blocks of the hotel. Had a lovely Valentines dinner at Scalini Fedeli which was very close by. Would definitely stay here again.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
