In town with my son for the Jerry Seinfeld show at the Beacon Theater, we found the 6 Columbus Hotel the perfect location just steps from Columbus Circle and Central Park that gave us a nice 15 block walk up Broadway to the theater. The facade is an attractive brick and stone and once inside it has an interesting 1960's modernist decor with quirky hallways and stairs. They have 88 rooms, a restaurant/bar on site and a rooftop lounge overlooking Central Park as well a valet parking. It is cental to shopping, restaurants, bars and general sightseeing while being a little less expensive than some of the surrounding hotels. Our room was pretty small, but it was all we needed for our circumstances, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again as long as the price points were favorable.

We stayed at 6 Columbus for 8 nights in February from the 4-11. The location could not have been better. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The room though small was spotlessly clean and very efficient. There were drawers under the bed and we had no problem storing all our clothes for the week and stowing our luggage above the cupboard. We had a wonderful time and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel

Going out on a limb and leaving this review after only the 1st night of our stay (out of 3).
This is the most convenient location you can get in Manhattan if you are planning on getting out to see several different areas during your stay. There are lots of hotels in close proximity to a subway stop, but this one is right on top of the 59 St-Columbus Circle station, which gives you the most direct routes in any direction.
Walk out the front door of this hotel and literally right across the street (you really don’t even need to go to the corner to cross) is an escalator(!) drop to the A, B, C, D, 1, 2 and 3 subway lines. Those lines will take you directly to just about any spot you want to go. I can’t tell you how great it is to get off the subway after an outing and the hotel door is right there.
Also, it is located directly across Columbus Circle from Central Park (the best part of the city). And this is literally next door to a Starbucks and a Walgreens convenience store/pharmacy, just around the corner is a great pastry shop, and within a block are several other breakfast/coffee options and a CVS.
The staff has been great, they were able to store my luggage when I arrived earlier than expected, well before checkin. The rooms are nice and clean and I’ve never had a hotel in this town with good water pressure until now.
Tip: the subway system in the city is incredible, take advantage of it. Use your Maps app for directions, update settings to Transit/Subway, it tells you exactly which subway drop to walk to and which line to get on.

I booked 4 nights at this hotel for a business trip, and included in the booking, specifically mentioned the requirement of a bath tub. On arrival there was no-one to help with multiple luggage items. When asked about my room and the bathtub, I was told my specific room did not have one, only a shower. If I required a bathtub I would need to be downgraded to a smaller room with no view. I felt this was wrong as I asked specifically on booking, this was a requirement. I stayed that evening and moved hotels the following day, checking out early. The hotel was dimly lit, and for a deluxe room with a view- this was basically the road. The decor is dated, both in the rooms and the lobby. I was then denied refund for the nights I didn’t stay, despite booking with free cancellation. The staff with hardly accommodating, not curtious, and at times rude. I don’t recommend this hotel at all.

I recently stayed at Columbus - Central Park Hotel in New York, and my experience was highly disappointing. After checking out, I noticed my credit card was charged for minibar items I never consumed. Despite several attempts to contact the hotel via phone and email, I have received no response, which is incredibly frustrating.
On top of this, the room’s cleanliness and amenities were unacceptable. The intimacy kit provided in the room was expired, which is shocking and unacceptable for any hotel. The shower curtain had hair from previous guests, and the refillable shampoo and soap containers in the bathroom were not only empty but also visibly unclean. These hygiene lapses made my stay uncomfortable and raised serious concerns.
For a hotel in such a prime location, I expected much better service and standards. I strongly urge the management to address these issues and take customer complaints seriously. Until then, I cannot recommend Columbus - Central Park Hotel to other travelers.

Although location is exceptional, the hotel looks nothing like the pictures . Rooms are tiny, dimly lit, alley views, shower water sprays your bathroom floor, bathroom equally tiny and dark, old faded towels. Coffee maker and water stored on window sill you can’t reach because your suitcases block all the walking space. Not enough outlets, no USB outles. Old building, elevators and hallways so tight and no natural light anywhere. Housekeepers not available in evening, no room service. Nothing luxury about it and charging luxury hotel prices. Pluses: The staff was friendly, comfortable beds, clean, great restaurant next door, literally steps to Columbus Circle shops, Central Park, coffee shop and bagels. 5 min walk to numerous restaurants , 5h Ave, and Times Square. Lincoln Center, Hudson Yards, The Edge, The Met, The Moma all within walking distance. I was angry paying so much money for a poor quality hotel, many others equally well located with much better quality for same price. No more than 3 stars , no way.

You would be hard-pressed to find a worse hotel than this in New York. The rooms are minuscule, there is no view, the temperature controls are right out of the 1950s, and there were bugs in the bathtub tub when I arrived. We were greeted by a surly unfriendly Front Desk person who seemed completely put out by having to do his job. Do yourself a favor and find any other place to stay.

Ever seen Gordon Ramsey’s hotel nightmares? This hotel 6 Columbus Circle park hotel qualifies featuring in that show. Everything that can possibly go wrong during your hotel stay - does.
From rooms, hotel services, staff, guest handling, room charges … everything blows. The hotel charges the same rate as a Hilton, Marriott or a holiday inn in the midtown manhattan area - but for the high price charged what you get is hotel hell. Avoid at all costs.

Contented and satisfied
I stayed here on two occasions in February 2020. The location is across the street from the subway and near Cultural landmarks like Lincoln center and Carnegie Hall. easy to get to from JFK.
My room was quiet, the bathroom floor heated and I could open the windows to get a breath of fresh air.
Front desk staff cooperative, helpful and obliging. In particular Melody displayed a high level of professionalism.
Wally, Chris and Carlos were all warm and welcoming.
The price was right. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to other travelers.

I booked for 7 nights in 2020 but i could not go due to covid. Luckily i could change my date and when i did i asked them if i could stay 3 nights longer and if it was possible i would pay them the last amount on arrival. This was no problem. A couple of months before my trip started i send them a mail asking what exactly the last amount was that i needed to pay them so i wouldn't have any supprises. They send me a mail back with a folio saying i needed to pay $355
A couple of days after i checked out, they took over $600 off my credit card.
I send them countless emails asking what happend and why the almost doubled the original agreement.
They had "no record" of any of it.
After asking them for an explination so many times they "surprisingly" had a record that the gave me some kind of "refund" for something witch was later added back on the $355 but, again, having no record where the "refund" came from...
They just kept the required deposit and won't listen to you when you ask something about it. They stop emailing you back. Everything you say is wrong, they are right with everything they say because thats what's in the files on they computer. Yet, they have "no record"

Hello! We are minutes away from Columbus Circle where the parade passes and we do open our rooftop for our guests to view the parade for partial views however our rooms do not have direct view of the parade.
