After reading several reviews of this hotel I wasn't sure what to expect upon arrival. We was very pleasantly surprised when we got there. Although the room is small, especially the bathroom, it was well-decorated and clean. We had a king-sized bed which was very comfortable. We didn't have the best room in the house by any means. We had...

We were placed in this hotel as booked a holiday inn hotel that was not ready for our arrival. This hotel is a great location for NYC. We arrived after a delayed flight etc, check in was simple and quick then up to our rooms (two couples travelling), we were on the sixth floor. No view from the window apart...

We stayed here for 5 nights recently in the two room one bathroom suite(5 women). The rooms were small but clean and beds were quite comfortable.-view of Empire State building was a bonus. The room was quiet and we even saw a Serbian wedding in the church across the street. We could walk or take subway or taxi to anyplace...

Had this hotel booked by our travel agents wholesaler after our original hotel had closed for renovation. Sadly this hotel was not up to the standard of other Comfort Inns I have stayed in. From the time I walked in I was unimpressed. We were on the top floor in a pokey little side room. We couldn't open the door...

Small room, good location. OK for overnight stay in NYC during Fashion Week since all hotels jacked up their prices. Didn't have breakfast (included in rate) as the room was packed.

It's not the fanciest of hotels , rooms are quite small and the clientele appeared to be school tour groups. Front desk staff were professional and friendly but the location is perfect - located on uptown/downtown bus routes between 5th/6th avenues and well served by subway. The street itself is quite dark at night but overall in a great location...

We went with 4 people and had 2 separate rooms. Simple but decent breakfast. Very nice location. Small but clean bathroom. 20 minute walk from Times square.

My husband & I were married in May (21st) & for his wedding gift I bought him Yankees tix & booked us weekender to NYC. I booked this hotel because of its location & good price. I didn't want to spend a lot for a room knowing we wouldn't be in it all that much. This hotel was PERFECT! Comfy...

Unbelievably Disappointed I arrived at the hotel at around 3:00pm on July 28th. I was put off first of all by the make shift ramp right in the middle of the steps leading into the hotel. I understand the need to handicapped accessibility but this was a hazard to persons without a challenge to walk. Checked in without any problems,...

This hotel is a good value. Also has a convenient location. Right near the subway and within walking distance of Penn Station. Our room was small and an odd shape (it was at the end of the hall), but it was also very quiet during our three night stay. There is an exercise room and continental breakfast (eggs, sausage, danish,...

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
