I stayed here for 5 nights mid December, the price was very good, even more so when I stepped outside, got my bearings and realised I was literally yards from Times Square. Couldn't get more central if you tried. Check in took a little while as there were so many people arriving that day, but with a busy central hotel...

Good boutique hotel with international flare half block from Times Square (right at 47th street... dead center). Large bedroom but small bathroom. Has some flaws but overall a solid choice. Definitely would return. Key decision points: (1) location - perfect location even with construction scaffolding on 47th street. (2) noise - even 14 floors up (22 story building) you can't...

Enjoyed a very comfortable stay here for five nights over the Christmas holidays. This hotel is an absolute bargain for its location - so central, right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. The staff were very friendly and helpful always. The room was spotless, small (Its NYC!!) with an immaculate bathroom and a very strong and large...

We first stayed at Hotel Edison in 2004 or 2005. The hotel is conveniently located in Times Square, with entrances on both 47th Avenue (main entrance) between Broadway & 8th & 46th Avenue, although on my recent trip in January, 2017, the 46th Avenue entrance was closed for remodeling. From the moment we entered, with the courteous doormen assisting us...

Stayed in two rooms on 22nd. Rooms were great. It's definitely not a 3star Hotel. Have stayed here over the years and it's been going through remodeling. The cafe out front and restaurant on 46th are gone, and are also going thru transformation. Whenever in NYC we stay here. Location around the corner from Times Square, near Rockefeller Center, and...

We decided to stay here because it's a stones throw from Times Square but honestly if I was to go back to NYC I wouldn't stay here. These are my reasons why, first night the room we were given was right next to elevators which ping every time it opens on that floor and you can hear it all through...

This "grande dame" hotel is now part of the Triumph Group of New York hotels. Fortunately, becoming part of that group has apparently produced only positive changes for guests seeking a comfortable, affordable stay in New York's Times Square. Wi-Fi is now free for all guests, a welcome plus, especially for those of us who are always researching entertainment or...

We stayed the day after Christmas. The Hotel was busy as we expected and the folks who work there made it very easy for us. The room we had was on the 17th floor and we upgraded which was well worth it. Our room was large and very comfortable The Edison is 2-3 blocks from Penn station and Times Square.

Hotel Edison was everything I could have asked for a solo night stay. The accommodations were comfortable, the staff was amazing and assertive, and it was affordable. I am definitley booking my next trip back.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
