Location, room and amenities were wonderful. The staff were very helpful and nice except for one or two who were very vitriolic. But upon our complaint a kind staff named Karim at the concierge went out of his way to help us for our inconvenience very kindly and ensured we had a wonderful experience! Thank you to Karim and the team!
We loved our family stay (8 adults and 3 children) at the Barclay's.... Convenient, elegant, clean and great amenities in the actual hotel. Check in went super well and even accommodated some early check-in by Anna Marie.... Great staff help on the floor as well.. Especially Tsering (try to stay in section 9a where she works!)
1. The club lounge staff were all excellent. A pleasure to see each morning for breakfast and in the evening. Paulette is great. Food was great quality. 2. Katrina M with housekeeping was very nice and kept my room in top condition. Amenities were helpful to have. 3. Peter at the front desk was very helpful, kind and attentive with my questions.
I got treated so well, Great service at the front desk. Karim Was very helpful in trying to make me happy. And his manager Christian, Also made sure to check up on me to see if I was satisfied.. Great place to come and stay.
We stayed at Intercontinental Barclay from January 11th to 17th on our honeymoon. The hotel was absolutely fantastic. Staff were super friendly and the hotel housekeepers were first class. Room was gorgeous with the most comfortable huge bed. We added on the club lounge, $150 per person per day. Sounds expensive but saved us a fortune. All the staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We have been to New York four times and stay at the Intercontinental Barclay every visit. Just be aware of the extra taxes. We booked with BA with no hotel taxes included. Highly recommend this stunning hotel and we will be back next year, guaranteed. Next time we will book hotel direct. Thank you to all the staff who made our honeymoon so very special.
My sincere apologies to GM Vandaele and her wonderful staff. My wife and I stayed last September while the UN General Assembly meetings were going on and while I wrote her thanking for a wonderful stay I forgot to write a public note thanking her and her staff for a wonderful stay, great service, great upgrade as an Ambassador Member and to complement the décor of the lobby, floors, lobby bar (right out of the movies) and just about everything else. I have in the past attended functions and even recommended the Hotel for Weddings and Receptions so know it well but it was some year since we actually stayed at the Hotel. From the Concierge who advised us where to get off because of street closings, bellmen, front desk, housekeeping ( fellow guests please remember gratuities for their hard work to keep the rooms looking spotless) to the wonderful room, our stay could not have been nicer. Right next door is Ole & Steen for delicious pastry, close by Starbucks, 3rd avenue for restaurants, and of course the Hotel itself the Parlour for fine dining. Located on the East Side, it was really easy to get around visiting family and friends and of course with the UN so close, was super easy attending various meetings. Planning a return visit this April and hoping another wonderful stay. You Rock GM Vandaele and staff!!!!…
We stayed in suite, which is nicely decorated and even has a fireplace, but it is only for decoration. It has a very nice and comfortable king-sized bed. The bathroom is nicely decorated and spacious. The furniture in the living room was a bit outdated. The hotel lobby and common areas need a facelift. It is stuck in the 90's. Also, they don't have an executive lounge and they don't grant you access to any club or lounge even if you pay for a suite (seems ridiculous). The location is great because you are walking distance to shopping, restaurants and sightseeing but you do need to walk a few blocks to everything (average 5-10 blocks).
Lovely hotel in an amazing location. The front desk and Management were excellent in making my sons 21st birthday a great experience. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a much larger room for the special occasion and we were presented with balloons, chocolates, cakes and sparkling wine on his actual birthday. Another evening we were presented with some super desserts. I could not fault the service provided by Karim at the front desk and Management Matthew, Christian and Mathias. They all went above and beyond to provide outstanding service. I would certainly visit soon again as it’s the location which was perfect, not too busy but still near all the attractions Thank you all for doing such grand work, it was certainly appreciated and I’d definitely recommend your hotel to family and friends . Thanks again to you all as customer service was on point! …
Love this hotel! The bed is super comfortable and overall room & bathroom is spacious and clean! The hotel has classic NY charm with modern amenities. Located in mid town East side and its quick walking distance from the Rockefeller center. Friendly staffs from receptions to concierge.
4 stars hotel???? The service provided by the reception desk is terrible, they are very unprofessional and rude towards guests, there are much better hotels around this area, the only 4 stars about this hotel was the price they charged.
