Location is amazing- and the space? So great! I've stayed at other similar hotels and the rooms are miniture in comparison. Anyone looking for a good place to stay should look into this great hotel- you won't be disappointed.

We traveled to NYC for an appointment at Sloan Kettering, the Gardens is located right next door to this particular Sloan clinic. It is located in a very nice neighborhood. We utilized the valet parking for $50 for 24 hours, a bargain in NYC, and walked anywhere we needed to go. There were many restaurants in the immediate area. The...

The hotel itself is nice and the location is great. The rooms are large by New York standards and the kitchen is a nice bonus as well. The major problem was management and the poor customer service. We booked this hotel well in advance and loved the idea of a patio. We are a family of six (myself, my spouse,...

Dear Charlene H- Thank you for taking time to review the property and your experiences. While I am disappointed that you feel you did not receive exceptional service, I am somewhat confused about your comments. In reviewing the correspondence regarding your stay, we have email exchanges with your husband a full week prior to your stay in which he was...

We have stayed at the Affinia Shelburne and tried Affinia Gardens for our short NYC holiday trip this year. Both properties have the same East side neighborhood, non-crowded feeling. Our room this year was a spacious one with two beds and a pullout sofa with a large bathroom and a spacious, complete kitchen - plenty of room for the 5...

This is more of a convalescent home than a hotel. The average age of the clientele must be around 80, with most coming from Sloan Kettering hospital next door. And management caters to these residents' every whim, no matter how unreasonable, at the expense of regular travelers. Which means that unless you're planning on staying in bed in silence for...

Awesome area, a couple of subway stops REALLY close, great rooms - which are HUGE by NYC standards, though the bathrooms are still quite small (typical NYC!) We arrived late, and were told that due to a power outage our room unfortunately wasn't available, and that we'd have to stay at the sister property - Affinia 50 for the night....

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
