5 mins grand central station 10 mins Times Square. We stayed here on our honeymoon. We never really expect anything from a hotel room except for a comfy bed and clean as it is simply a base for sleeping. This hotel was in a relatively good location for us. The staff are great very friendly and helpful. The hotel however...

It took almost a month of virtual hotel hunting to zero down on Jolly Madison Hotel. Newyork is sooo expensive. I looked around for options on both AirBnB and the other Tripadvisor. There weren’t many options for less than $ 250 a night, wish I had a companion to share the room with. Being a Solo female traveler has its...

I stayed at this hotel based on reviews from a different site and the price was right for a last minute 2 night stay in the city as we needed to be close by to NYU Langone. It stated that the hotel was 3 stars which we considered to be a good level of quality for our stay. When we...

I booked a standard twin room and was given a double room on arrival, which the staff were happy to change. The room I received was awful, but I decided I wasn't going to go back to reception and change again because I'd only be using it for sleeping. The rooms are *really* noisy and cold. There was a really...

Stayed here for 4 days in December. Central location, just off Madison Ave so perfect for shopping! Also close to most of the top sightseeing sights that NYC is known for. Small but clean and comfortable bedrooms. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

We got a quiet room on 10 floor. My daughter and I had two separat beds and the size of the room was ok, we had plenty of space for the suitcases. Super location, ten minutes walk to times square. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Good breakfast at Moonstruck Diner, open 24 hours. Healty and cheap dinner at Dig...

You get what you pay for with this hotel. Having been told, after arriving at 2pm, that the room wasn't ready, we returned at 4.30pm to be given a room on the 9th floor - which was horrific! The room was very old fashioned, dirty and freezing cold! The tv was one my gran would have been proud of in...

Not really sure what people expect from a hotel in the centre of New York. The noice will exist everywhere not just here. We found the room to be clean and the view of the Empire State Building was amazing. The bed was massive and no issues with any part of the hotel. Would recommend the hotel if on a...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
