My mom and I stayed here this past weekend. The room was supposed to be handicap access Assessable however it was not. Beds were soft and pillows were comforable. There was a lot of excess traffic noises that we heard. The bathroom was average. It was an older hotel and the age shows. they offer breakfast here but beware...it's crappy... More

From your comments, it seems you were very dissappointed with the quality of the hotel, the cost for the buffet breakfast and also the street noise. We really enjoyed the stay in this hotel. The view of the room was great, the executive lounge was very good and the staff was fantastic. We loved the city and the hotel was also a very positive contributor. Everything was fantastic.

This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. My room is very small even by NYC standards is $500 per night and has no room service or mini bar. When I dialled room service they said they cancelled it 3 months ago In a five star Marriott Shame on you My time staying in Marriott hotels is coming to... More

This is our go to spot in NYC. It is near a few places that we like to visit before we go upstate. We usually have a basic room overlooking the street, but this time we were upgraded to a bigger room. The room did have more space, which is a luxury in NYC, and since we were not facing... More

I stayed there twice. The first time was three years ago. The review would be the same then. It is a big hotel in a very good location. The rooms are big with plenty of space, but you can hear the noise from the street unless you are on a high floor or in the back. The bed is EXCELLENT... More

It's a very pretty hotel and the bell service was great when I arrived. Went a little downhill from there. The person who checked me in was too busy talking on the phone to even make eye contact or say have a nice stay. The rooms are standard small New York size. The room was very clean which was good.... Had stayed at the Marriott East Side before and was disappointed with the room (dark, small, ripped bedding). This time the room (2103) was quite large, nice and bright and the bathroom and products were nice as was the coffee/tea storage. The only downside was upon our arrival I noticed a desk that indicated Elite members here - I approached... More

Nice hotel, but the room was tiny. The room was nice, but for the location and price I just expected it to me nicer. Room was ready early, which was a blessing. Staff was nice. Walking distance to many things.

It was a pleasurable stay at Marriott East Side. My daughter and I were coming in NYC for an audition and they allowed us to check in super early, 7a. What a great relief to get rest and ready before the audition. Thank you, Marriott! Our room was clean and comfortable.

I stay at Marriott because it is usually reliably high quality from one hotel to another. I was disappointed with Marriott east. We needed to switch rooms initially because the first room backed up to the elevator banks! The second room was small, no light in the closet, and toilet supplies, coffee cups were not replaced. The cable reception was spotty.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
