Many guests at the Millennium Hotel Broadway Times Square have expressed that while the prime location is a highlight for exploring the city, the atmosphere and rooms could benefit from modernization and maintenance. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness often receive commendations, though some travelers have encountered service hiccups. While the hotel's cleanliness generally meets expectations, there are occasional lapses. Noise can be an issue, especially on lower floors, and guests have called out the value as disappointing, citing hidden fees that detract from the overall experience.

I had read a previous review that said they paid for a Times Square View room but weren’t offered it due to the hotel supposedly not using those rooms because of COVID-19. Despite that review, I was hoping that the hotel remedied this issue considering the fact that they were still letting people book Times Square View rooms. Once I got there, I was given a Ball Drop View room, which, okay, technically has a piece of Times Square in view (specifically the ball) and would be pretty cool...on New Year’s Eve. It just wasn’t what I booked, and the fact that I was given a different type of room with no notification upon check in was what bothered me the most. When my boyfriend inquired about the situation at the lobby, the receptionist got defensive and said the room had a nice view so we shouldn’t be complaining, and my boyfriend reiterated that, sure, it may have been nice, but it literally wasn’t what I had paid for. The manager then came in and told him that the Times Square View rooms weren’t sanitized. All I wonder is..why? If someone books a room a couple weeks in advance, shouldn’t that be enough notice to have one of those rooms prepared? And if not, shouldn’t you do the courtesy of letting them at least know you couldn’t fulfill your promise? It just feels like bad customer service and like we were the ones in the wrong.
Overall, the hotel was pretty nice: they do have a coffee/tea maker in the room, the bathrooms were nice (they have a separate tub and shower!), the thermostat worked and was adjustable, and the robes and slippers were certainly a nice touch. So I guess the takeaway is...come to this hotel if you don’t care what view you’re gonna get!

Just returned from a 5 night break staying at the Millenium Times Square , a,great location for all the attractions as pretty central to all , we walked to all of them .
The hotel is clean and tidy but the room we had was pretty dated , king bed was comfortable but be prepared for lots of street noise as being so close to Times Square this wadnt a surprise.
I've stayed at many Hiltons and was surprised to have no Coffee/tea machine ,this meant a trip to Starbucks every morning which was a shame .
Breakfast is a buffet at $20 per person, I thought this was good quality and plenty to eat and set yourselves up for the day, staff were all very courteous and helpful .
So all in all a good Hotel , especially the location, just needs updating and coffee machines adding

This hotel is very well placed for easy access to Times Square and easy access To uptown and downtown Manhattan. On initial comparison review it looks great and the prices appear competitive. Just hold it there. The price you booked at is not what you will end up paying, even if you’ve prepaid. There is an extra US $25 per day per room plus tax for the internet and gym. The internet was supposed to be free and many short term visitors will not use the gym as they want to be out sightseeing. Additionally the front of house staff and surly, abrupt and generally uncaring, particularly at check in and check out. Rooms are not available before 16;00 for check in, no matter what and as the lobby has very limited seating, guests waiting to check in are everywhere with their luggage. When we finally got in the room. It had rubbish on the floor, from a previous guest, the table lamp didn’t work, the in room safe was locked and the bathroom extraction fan never worked. To be honest we were not really satisfied with the service all round and we would look elsewhere in future

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with my family and got two rooms. I asked for tooth brush for my niece and informed me that they are very busy and it will take 45min to deliver the request. After 45min I called and no body seems to know that the request was not done. So we have to wait again and feels like the service here is really millennium before you get the request. After 13days of check out, I called and ask for my balance refund. The accounting agent cannot explain to me why my refund was not posted back to my credit card right after I check out. The agent just process the refund on the day that I called and told me that I will get the money after few days. So asked why it was not process right away. The agent said that I have to call so I can get the refund and later on blaming the front desk agent that they supposed to process the refund and the list of explanations go on after I was put on hold for 3x. And. bec. I am getting frustrated not getting the answer, I am the one that is disrespectful and rude. WOW!!! The accounting coordinator has the same attitude and told me to talk to front desk manager which is also rude and cannot give me an answer other than blaming the front desk agent who processed my check out. I am so surprise with the pointing of fingers bec. no one can answer the question and they have the nerve to be the one angry that a customer is asking question why the refund was not posted right away. There are other hotels in Times Square. STAY AWAY from this hotel if you don't want to get a headache getting your refund back, a very slow service and getting an old room for $449.64/night. What a waste of my money and time. I don't recommend this hotel.

I was worried about the state of the rooms after seeing some reviews as some had referred to them as small and tired and dirty. This was absolutely not the case!
I had a standard room with two double beds, there was still plenty of space in the room and the bathroom was also spacious.

Check in was fast and easy and there wasn’t much of a queue. The resort fees were much less than we expected!

The beds were comfortable and clean.
The bathroom was spacious, clean and the shower was decent. There was little bottles of shampoo etc which I didn’t use but thought it was a nice touch.

The location is great, just off Times Square which surprisingly didn’t disturb our sleep! We were shocked it was quiet at night as we had heard that it could be busy.
There is also a Starbucks next door, if you use the back entrance which is great to get your morning tea/coffee quickly!

There was maid service everyday and the maid I spoke to was lovely.

I asked the day before we departed I asked concierge if they could help me with my taxi transfer confirmation. The gentleman on the desk called them and confirmed it for me! He was very helpful and also lovely.

The hotel can also hold your suitcases if you have a delay between checkout and you flight so no need to carry heavy bags around! This was free but tip the staff who look after your belongings!

The day before checkout I asked reception about a late checkout and they said it was no problem, it was $25 per hour and the first was complimentary.

What an horrible experience. After a long flight landed in NY and went to this hotel. The awful manager on the front desk was so rude that he should not be even allowed to enter a hotel let alone manage it.

I was assigned a room and as soon as I entered the room, it was dirty and disgusting.

I couldn’t stay in the room for more than 10 mns. It smelled like a garbage dump.

At the front desk told manager that the room is super dirty and his answer - “Well you have booked for two nights. Stay in the room or don’t stay your wish”. He was least concerned about addressing the issue.

There was no way I was going to stay in that dirty room and I left in 10 mns.

After that I see a charge of around $800 that he quickly charged to my card.

Stay miles away from this pathetic hotel and the pathetic front desk manager. In the same cost you would find fabulous hotels in the same area which is what I ended up doing.

I have reported this place to the city because it can use immediate pest control and to my credit card provider. Perhaps should report it to law enforcement as well as the manager here is conning people.

Now I am doing back and forth with Amex and this hotel to resolve the dispute. The hotel charge me for three nights even though I left the hotel within 10 mns of entering it and I told the awful front desk manager to cancel the room as the room is extremely dirty.

To the manager of the front desk at this hotel: I ridicule you for who you are, you are a very disrespectful, cheap and third rated human being.

Pros: The elevator was fast; the location was great, & the lobby was beautiful, but the room did not have the same luxurious appeal. Cons: Old & tattered carpet. We had major dark stains, there was grout in the bathtub which looked like a sloppy repair job, the drapes are in desperate need of upgrades - consider effective blackout drapes with clean sheer curtains, add the cookies that is well-known with the Doubletree brand, new wall paper- there was a dark smut stain on the wall next to the bed that was very noticeable. The AC wall unit did not work so we were terribly uncomfortable the entire time. We opened the window at night, but the night air was just too frigid. No Microwave in a hotel of this size and magnitude is absurd. I am a Hilton Honors member and I believe in giving credit where credit is due, but I also believe I should receive exceptional service at any Hilton Honors location where I choose to stay; If not, I will let the establishment know and make alternate arrangements in the future.

This hotel was my go-to for New York trips for the last decade. Sadly, no more. The rooms are dingy and in sore need of redecoration; carpets soiled, wallpaper peeling off at seams; the one blanket was paper thin (no bedspread) and very old. There were hairs in the bathtub and on the wall behind the bathroom door(not cleaned by staff until I complained after day 2). There were no glasses in the room - not even plastic; I asked for some to be delivered, and asked the staff member if this was normal - he said that sometimes there are glasses in the rooms and sometimes not, whatever that means. The front desk and lobby staff were very nice and helpful, and the location is great, but once you leave the lobby it’s dingy and worn. I asked a worker if the hotel was under new management, and indeed it is. For what they are charging, they need to renovate the hotel and improve guest service; in the meantime, I will be staying elsewhere.

I am a frequent traveler with countless hotel experiences, and this is my worst experience at a hotel.

Room had an old carpet smell, witnessed small round bugs at the bathtub (1 time) and sink (2 times) and bed (1 time), disposable cups were not restocked 7 days out of 9, bed and pillow sheets were not changed, towels restocked were random (sometimes only body towels, sometimes mixed).

But this was nothing compared to the experience I had on the 5th night.

Staying with my child on the 24th floor, 2 men opens the door by force at 3:30 in the MORNING!
It was fortunate that I had the door stopper (the thing on top of the lock), or they would have probably attacked me while I was in bed.
One man yells and demands my name (which I did give as I was frightened).
I also asked for his name, but he does not answer. Instead, he plays with his phone for a minute and walks away with the other man.
Again, this was after 3:30 in the morning without any warning or notice.
My child and I were asleep.

After gaining composure, I immediately called the front desk and asked for the supervisor.
Andrew was the supervisor at the time, and he says that housekeeping was asked to clean the room and no one was supposed to be in the room.
So security was sent.
Now, house cleaning at 3:30 in morning?
Security without any calls or notices before opening the door?
The room was booked and prepaid (this was a 9 night stay).

During my +5 minute conversation, I did not feel any signs of remorse from the supervisor.
Instead, it seems as if he was just waiting for me to stop talking so that he can hang up the phone.
He did say that some facility charges can be dropped as an apology (there are no "facilities" here. Are we expected to pay for the use of elevators and hallways?).
This daily facility charge of +$30 was discovered at time of checkin, so beware of the prices.

During the rest of my stay, I only wanted to leave the hotel.
I could not sleep as I was afraid for my child.
I was not offered another room to move (it is very uncomfortable to stay in the same room), no apologies by the security, no letters, etc.
Nothing.

At checkout, I received a bill fully showing the facility charges.
Over $300 for a 9 night stay.

If you have a family and/or small ones, I definitely recommend elsewhere.

After reading the poor reviews I was going to change to another hotel however kept this because of location so my expectations were low. I booked a "king superior times square view" at a reasonable price to be right in Times Square to walk around. Stayed one night ahead of a cruise I was going on.
Don't listen to the poor reviews. I got in really early so obviously my room wasn't ready. I had done the online check in through the app ahead of my arrival.
The man at the front desk was great & told me to drop off the luggage & go explore NYC and room would be ready later. ..
Dropped off luggage without issue to another polite friendly man.
When I returned the fellow at the front desk remembered me & his coworker checked me in ( who was also very pleasant) picked up luggage & proceeded to my room on 46th floor.
I expected long wait for elevators due to past reviews , but had no issues. they have separate elevators depending on floor # you were on. About 6 of these go to floors 30+.
At night they rope off entrance to elevators and you have to show room key to the security guy as you pass through- a good feeling to know not anybody can just go to.
I couldn't believe the size as I've stayed in NYC many times and normally they are the size of a closet, this was spacious, yes a bit dated just as many NYC hotels are however it was clean & I was happy with the room.
At night they there is a security guard at the elevators & you show you key as you go by.
Checkout was a breeze & again friendly front desk.
I would definitely stay again.

My go to breakfast stop is the Galaxy Diner on 9th ave & 46th st. As far as attractions you’re right in the heart of Broadway with plenty of sights to see walking around: Central Park, Empire State Building, Rockefeller center - all pleasant walls from that hotel.
