Myself and my wife recently stopped there on our honey moon. I'll get the negatives out before the positive...... Before we actually arrived we emailed the hotel (as did Thomas cook) to see if we could have a bottle of champagne left in our room for arrival but no response from the hotel unfortunately so when we arrived there was...

One quick night in the Paramount; a building I remember many years ago when it opened and the design vibe was all about Starck. Now it is a completely run down affair. Do not let the beautiful Beaux Arts façade of the building fool you. What waits inside is dirty and worn down. Thin old lumpy mattresses and carpets that...

We were looking for a place to have a drink and a bite to eat before Hamilton. We went to the paramount right across the street. Not crowded and appetizers were very good. It may be a little pricey but location and lack of hassle worth every penny. My vodka martini was the best I had in NYC.

Bullet points: POSITIVE: - wifi coverage - beautiful and comfortable lobby - fab restaurant (I've only been for breakfast but the buffet was great) - good mini shop next to the lobby for essentials - public toilets next to downstairs restaurant - the smell! (strange but the hotel has a distinctive and sophisticated smell) - very close to times square...

The lobby is so dark that it is difficult to see anything, especially if it is sunny outside. Our room, on the 19th floor, was very small. when I looked for an electrical outlet point I realised why the room was so small. It was a single room with a small double bed in it! The bed, which the room...

Loved my stay at the Paramount. The rooms are a bit small but most rooms are in NYC. I found the beds super comfortable and rooms very clean. The hotel is just minutes away from Time Square. You couldn't ask for a better location. The doorman is super friendly always willing to help you. I would definitely return to the...

Dear Leepo1972, Thank you for taking the time to write your review of our property, your comments are valued by the team. We are happy to know you thought our hotel location was ideal for your Big Apple Trip. In regards to our rooms; indeed they can be towards the cozier side. Just stayed at the Paramount. The staff was great. The rooms are very small (you get what you pay for). My complaint is there are hidden charges. There was a fee for wi-fi use; this was charged whether a person uses it or not. This is very unfair to make a person like me (who uses no wifi service) pay...

Dear Josh5750, We very much appreciate your feedback on our hotel! Indeed our rooms are in the cozier side; however the Paramount Hotel offers a great deal of several room types to choose from, ranging anywhere from a Broadway Classic to a One Bedroom Suite, we truly feel that there is a room type for everyone.. In conclusion, I apologize...

Well I'm just home this morning having spent 4 nights in the Paramount. Upon arrival I did notice the reception to be quite dark, though it was nice. (I did struggle with the lighting in the lift though) check in was very quick and to my delight they had upgraded my room from the "Broadway petite" that I paid for...

Yes, the rooms are small and the lobby is dark BUT the hotel is clean, safe and charming. It is truly a historical landmark. The hotel is very convenient to Times Square and the theatre district, as well as Rockefeller Center and lovely Fifth Avenue. The little coffee shop, Corso, has incredible coffee and pastries. The one problem I had...

We spent one week in this hotel during the vacation in New York, from 25 to 31 July. I arrived at the hotel without my friends since our flight Toronto to NYC has been cancelled, so we had to flight on different planes to go to NY. As I showed up at the hotel, the receptionist told me that our...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
